With 2012 coming to a close many of the gaming sites are releasing their top games for the year. Going to lay out a format and let everyone compile their finalist and awards for their top games and see what gamers enjoyed in the year of 2012.

For each category provided, list the Top 3 Finalist for the category and then the Winner! Choose as many of the items as you'd like. All of them if you want to put together your own official 2012 Game of the Year Awards list, or only a couple if you only play one platform over another. I would say it has been a little bit of a disappointing year for games with let downs (IMO) such as both RE games, Sleeping Dogs, Syndicate as well NCAA 13. But most of all its been a bad year for racing titles (apart from the arcade NFS: MW).

There were however also plenty of great surprises such as XCOM and Dishonored. It felt to me like a year of underdog gaming.

It was the epic finish to a story that has taken me many places with many friends lost and gained.
The team at BW have supported this game with sp and mp dlc and the controls on this game were the best of the series... also the MP (which nobody wanted before the game was released.) is surprisingly fun and I still play it every weekend to get the awards and epic guns.
