I'd have to go with Mass Effect 3. Despite the ending debacle, I loved that game. No game or series has ever taken a hold of my emotions like that one. The whole impeding sense of doom throughout the game just weighs heavy on you while you are playing. I'd imagine though if I didn't have two games worth of relationships built with the characters ME3 would just be an amazing game, and not GOTY for me.

Number 2 on my list would have to be Sleeping Dogs. Had some extra money after trade ins and figured id give it a shot and man I loved it.

I voted Mass Effect 3, but I would also throw Max Payne 3 in as well.

Those games just sucked me in from start to finish.

I don't get that with many games any more.

I forgot about Max Payne 3, that deserves to be up there too. My favorite game this year behind Sleeping Dogs

My vote went to The Walking Dead-phenomenal story and amazing character development. Mass Effect 3 and XCOM are 2a and 2b for me.
