Re: The Witcher 3
Remember to keep adjusting your deck to drop your worst cards. General rule of thumb until you get into the larger Monster and Elf decks is to keep the minimum of your 22 best unit cards and remove the rest.Comment

Re: The Witcher 3
Its like in every RPG they introduce some random card or dice game, this is probably the first of these games I actually like. I never played Pokémon even though my daughter swears by it. Is Gwent something similar?http://neverfollow.biz (Independent Music Group)Comment

Re: The Witcher 3
First thing you do when you come to a new area - check all the merchants and buy all the Gwent cards they have and play them. Then when you get a decent deck from doing that, do the first Gwent quest (Gwent: Innkeepers). You'll have a good Northern Realms deck in no time.

Appreciate the help.http://neverfollow.biz (Independent Music Group)Comment

Re: The Witcher 3
Gwent seems like a bit to get into. The instruction board is incredibly complicated and I just want to play. Then I play and lose. I'll keep giving it a whirl, but who knows how many more games of it I will be able to play.
I moved on from White Orchard and now I am in Velan. I see why they call it No Man's Land. This place SUCKS. The trails are a pain to ride, bandit camps friggin everywhere, and with the spaz that Gerralt can be it's annoying getting around. Of course there is tons to do on this loaded map.
This is also the point where I got stuck (2) previous times. Once trying to Walk Through the Dark or Whatever and the second trying to Meet the Pellar. Looking at the main and side quest lists for Act I - Velan I figure once I complete this portion of the game it may be a good time to break for a while and play other games. I figure it'll take me most of April to finish this part.Comment

Re: The Witcher 3
A horse is a horse is a horse, of course.
Roach is the name of Geralt’s horses, each and every one in turn.
Not sure why he calls ‘em all that. Lazy? Doesn’t get attached? To animals?
Might be because one day he caught a roach, which is a common fresh-water fish. A big one.
Decided he’d celebrate by naming his horse after it.
We considered a bunch of options, but Doobie and Spliff seemed off-lore.
Anyways, here's a special developer video that will show you Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Roach But Were Afraid to Ask.Comment

Re: The Witcher 3
Yah... F Gwent. Lol.
I was the same way with Poker in Red Dead though, or really card games in general when built within other games. I just don't have any interest whatsoever sitting down to play a game when I could be roaming the world doing much cooler ****.
Hard to not love that the option is there for the people who care though. Part of what makes the game so great.Comment

Re: The Witcher 3
Epic game. Maybe my fav game ever. Finished the main story with an ace gwent deck. That said, I didn't do any of the races and have a few witcher gear (bear, viper, etc..) quests left to do. I'm currently level 38 on the Hearts of Stone DLC. Master crafted feline Armor and quick attacks maxed with queen is my Geralt. The first boss of the DLC was one tough mofo. Really thinking about drinking that potion that resets your ability points as I saw a video of guy on YouTube who was also at level 38 taking out level 35 enemies with just one or two bombs. Moreover, the guy fought 45+ guards at the camp in Velen and starched them all.

Re: The Witcher 3
I bought this game on sale after reading the great reviews it got. I got as far as the part where I need to get a goat back to it's owner so he will give me information. After getting killed by a bear 20 or so times I'm done with it, deleted it. Not my kind of game I guess, or I just dn't know how to play it.If there was a way to give digital downloaded games away I'd gladly give someone my copy of this.Comment
