A lot of them I would be playing and I would be sitting there thinking " this isn't as good as The Witcher" or "there are side quests in The Witcher that are better than this game" and there you go I am back playing it again.

I have Persona 5 up next, so the tonal shift will be a fun one

So I finally finished the Witcher 3’s Main Quest and Expansion Packs and I have to say that this is the best game I’ve ever played; no game can match the combination of story, gameplay, immersion and environment IMO. I finished all but one of the Witcher contracts and maxed out at Level 51 with a total playtime of 93 hours and 15 minutes. No game has taken me longer to finish than Witcher 3 as it took me about 2 years to finish.

As for the story endings I got:

For anyone that is reading this and hasn’t played Witcher 3 yet or are just getting into it, buy it now and stick with it! It took me some time to get invested as the Witcher franchise was new to me, but it is well worth the 93 hours I put into the game. GOAT status confirmed.

Wow I guess I have more of a problem that I thought or you missed a bunch of side story and quests. My Shortest play thru of just the main story was 120 hours.

Yeah a few of the quests I failed and a few I didn't do (mainly the races, gwent stuff, and fists of fury). Most of the missed quests were in the Touissant region as I sped up my gameplay towards the end. I got maybe half of the ?'s and didn't do that much random exploring. Otherwise I don't see how it would've gotten to 120 hours lol.

One question I have though is for NG+ is it really the same as if you just started a new game fresh (except for the Level, abilities and equipment that you import from a previous save)?

Yes. You are just starting a new game but with all of your stuff from the previous game. I would recommend either moving up a difficultly and or turn on level scaling for enemies.

Of all places to speed up gameplay Touissant is not the place to skip. On your next play thru definitely plan on spending a lot of time there. There are some hidden stories and quests that will just blow your mind.

I felt the same way towards the end of BaW, probably because I was playing the full game + expansions, you start to get a malaise around you

. I did everything in BaW except the(BaW main quest end spoiler)

When I originally played Witcher 3 I regret not spending much time on Skellige islands. I did the one quest to find the next king for the island and didn’t go back. Next run I will do more of the quests on Skellige

Skellige is just so gloomy. And my first couple of times through I feel like the story picks up a lot from there and it's just easy to forget about side quests and anything else extra.

I did everything I could in Novigrad before going, it was so damn satisfying to get out of that city and into a open world.

Just restarted this from the start. I’ve decided to enjoy this from the start in its enhanced version on X1X. This, Days Gone and The Show sprinkled in with The Golf Club 2019 will be my rotation for a while.

Not a bad line up. About the same as my summer play list, but remove golf and add Horizon Zero Dawn.

That is where I am when I put the game down. Will be going back soon. Amazing game...still on my first play through. Adore the story. The game is a true time sink. Been on my first play through going on two years.

Yep that’s right. LOL. But so what. I just read the books and missions and it all clicks again after a few hours.

Yup... perfectly put. Have been told I need to lower my standards. No! Other games should rise and meet them!

I see pros and cons, like FFXV had fun combat and the "bros" are great characters. But the filler, fluff, and lack of solid narrative killed it for me. Mechanics can't beat story in my book. And when they are perfect in Witcher, well...
