Never got into the KZ series - more of a Battlefield guy, and I'm interested in The Division. I'm interested in supporting this PS exclusive, though. Looks nice.

To be honest KZ2 was my favorite FPS this generation. A lot of people
Didn't like the "heavy" feel of the controls but I was able to adjust and become quite efficient. Warzone was my favorite game mode as well. Best of 7 game types that would play out in random order therefore no one had an advantage.

I hope more people will give it a try. Smart move to give free dlc. So many will be playing cod or bf they will overlook kz.

          Lead Designer:

Yes it is true we are targeting 60fps for the Multiplayer
          yes, SP is 30fps
No splitscreen but we will have Online and Offline bots
Yes you can customize offline bot games, it just won't count towards your progression
          ...

          IGN: Multiplayer Hands-on

Killzone: Shadow Fall also introduces a vast array of match controls under the guise of “Warzone Options,” or the ability to craft detailed and completely unique sets of rules that can be contained to your group of friends or shared with the world. Creating a ruleset is all about controlling the minutiae in Shadow Fall; you can swap game types on the fly like in previous Killzone games, but you can also turn off certain weapons, abilities, attachments, and more. You can have complete control over the experience, should you want to dive in that deep.

This is a cool option that Killzone fans will undoubtedly enjoy, but what’s even cooler is how functional Warzone customization is within the community. Guerrilla will ship the game with pre-set options, but new rule permutations can be shared with anyone in the community. The best ones can be featured and discovered by others online, and each shared ruleset will even have its own, completely dedicated leaderboards. Of course, Shadow Fall will also support clans, bots, party chat, and much more, but deep Warzone options really seem like they’ll sit at the center of the newest iteration of Killzone’s online community.
Messing around with Killzone: Shadow Fall at Gamescom further reinforced the beauty of the DualShock 4, as well, as it’s so clearly a controller designed to make the life of the PlayStation shooter fan easier. The triggers are reactive and the analog sticks are tight; it was funny how I resorted to using R1 and L1 at the outset of battle only to realize that DualShock 4 is going to push PlayStation 4’s shooter controls back to the triggers.
I was also pleased to learn that Guerrilla has “extensive plans” to support Killzone: Shadow Fall after it's released. The game will launch with 10 maps, but as we first reported yesterday, all subsequent maps released will be made available completely free of charge. And there’s a team at Guerrilla already dedicated to making this DLC, so you can probably expect those maps sooner rather than later.

I thought all PS4 games were going to be 60 FPS. 30 FPS is an instant turn-off (though they do have a good motion blur system in place).

And doesn't that seem backwards that MP might be a higher framerate than SP? I know the "maps" will be smaller, but you normally just expect a visual hit in MP from games.

You tell an online community that MP is 30 fps and SP is 60 and see what happens.

LOL I guess I wasn't referring to framerate alone, though that's the evidence I see in this game. I am just looking at any game I own where I play both the SP and online, and the SP is just a better looking game. Better texturing, better cell-shading, etc. I'd assume framerate could be in that talk as well.

Dropping the frame rate should allow them to make the SP look better.

I'm not feeling the maps. The color scheme seems weird and the layouts seem awkward.

I might have to grab 3 shooters for PS4 - BF4, COD and Killzone.

Honestly leaning towards this more and more for my shooter fix, although BF4 will also be nice to have for the large scale and vehicle warfare (zero interest in COD). Free DLC and no weapon unlocks are huge in my book - finally somebody gets it. Also, I'm pretty confident I will like the single player of this more for the simple fact that, like Halo, Killzone actually has some AI and dynamism to its firefights.

1080p and sure does look like 60FPS.
