I'm about 2-3 hours in and this is my first Infamous and I am very happy with my purchase. The last open world Superhero game I played was Batman Origins and this puts it to shame in terms of fluid animation while the hand to hand combat is more clunky than Batman. I had a few friends over who watched the intro and I was amazed at how engrossed everyone is.

Facial animations and voice acting has improved some much in this game that I'm genuinely excited about what is possible this gen in terms of storytelling.

I'm looking forward to were this story goes.

I was going to finally trade my NBA 2k14 in towards this because 2k is one of the games on gamestop list if you trade in you can get any new game for $29.99.

I believe so. So far there doesn't seem a lot of previous mention to InFamous 1 and 2.

Also, has anyone noticed some of the stores in Seattle? [Name] & McGrath (bank I believe). Cole McG's shop. Nice references to Cole on the store names.

I did the same, disappointed it didn't just auto download though, hopefully that happens in the future seems like that would be one of the biggest pros to buying digital but having to wake up to start the download yourself kinda sucks.

I guess my only positive is that it downloaded in about 20 minutes. So I was playing fairly quickly.

Yeah I don't get the touchpad stuff either. I haven't had any problems with it. The stuff that has annoyed me the most is the spray painting motion control.

I dont think it becomes cumbersome at all honestly. I just think no matter what devs do people will call its inclusion a gimmick. I think they implemented it very well without it being a problem with the game mechanics.

Picked this up a couple of hours ago...told my wife I was just going to check out a little bit...yea,that turned into an hour and a half..

Game is simply gorgeous, so many times I caught myself just gazing at the scenery...truly awesome.
As far as gameplay goes,I'm still SUPER early,but the fluidity of the animations are very well done...

As mentioned here already,the touchpad is really cool and the spray can rattle was awesome...

I also enjoy the way the shards are implemented as well,and how you don't have to find 30-40 to "level up"....the way they are implemented here add a bit of RPG element (albeit light)...but cool nonetheless.

I don't care for reviews or base my purchase on any review...to me since I enjoyed the other games,to me this was a no-brainer.

I already like Delsin more than Cole,as it seems to me that Delsin is just a more "likeable" character than Cole...he (Cole) just felt "sterile" to me in comparison to Delsin.

My wife (who enjoyed watching me play Infamous2) has already said she much prefers Delsin to Cole also...and said "there's no going back to infamous2 now" ....
