Re: inFAMOUS: Second Son
This is my issue completely. I beat the game going "good" the first time and wanna play it out on the opposite side now but am really struggling to play it all over again and do the same repetitive things once again. I know some said they just did the story but to upgrade your powers dont you need all the orbs anyways? If you do then the only things Im not doing is liberating the districts and the paintings so I'd imagine it will take nearly as long. I might end up just trading it in soon towards The Show, hanging on to it but never playing it again seems pointless but I really want that platinum trophy lol.Originally posted by ya boy hollywud -

The only thing I did not do on my second playthrough were the Spy Agent chases. Everything else takes about 30 seconds to complete.

Re: inFAMOUS: Second Son
Lol, I appreciate that. I'm giving myself until Watch Dogs comes out to beat this. If it doesn't happen by then, I think it's pretty much a wrap.Liberating the cities was repetitive, but for some reason it didn't annoy me. Probably because you can see everything on the map, which I like with open world games.
The actual missions were really fun, especially the last half of the game. I have to recommend seeing the game through. Though I won't slander your name and character if you don't

Re: inFAMOUS: Second Son
Patch coming tomorrow. Previous updates plus a couple more things:
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/SbkvRpL72mo" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>But that’s all stuff you expected. Let’s talk about a few surprises, saving the best for last:
- A handful of localization text changes, and a couple of fixes for rare crashes in the game (Thanks to all of you who uploaded reports on those, they were extremely helpful!).
- If your controller runs out of batteries in the middle of gameplay, your game will pause. Our art director pulled a hamstring scrambling to get his second controller mid-boss-battle, so we needed to fix this.
- If you’re choosing expert difficulty, we let you know within the options dialog if you’re qualified for the “Unstoppable” trophy the moment you opt in.
- Photo Mode.
Wait, what’s that last one? We were totally amazed at the quality of the screenshots you all shared. Amazed. So we thought we’d try to help you all out. With this patch, you can enable photo mode within the options. Once you do that, clicking L3 will pause the game, and allow you to use a suite of our internal tools (like setting depth of field) to take even more amazing shots.
The photo mode sounds awesome.

Re: inFAMOUS: Second Son
I skipped most of the side missions the second time through with the exception of revealing and chasing down the blast shards, since I needed those to stay powerful on Expert. That also gave me a lot to do once the story was done.Comment

Re: inFAMOUS: Second Son
I bought this game almost 2 months ago, and I've only played it for about 1 hour. I really find the game boring and repetitive. I may get hate for saying this but the game simply doesn't wag my tail.
I really want to play it just so I can get the Platinum (from what I've heard, it's easy) but every time I sit down and play I'm done within 20 minutes.
I'm posting this wondering if I'm the only one that feels this way?..

Also, I'm having a blast helping the wife play now. She typically doesn't get into any of the games that I play, but she's always liked the inFamous series. She may struggle with aiming, but I'll be damned if she isn't having fun.Comment

Re: inFAMOUS: Second Son
The plat is easy but requires you to play through the entire game twice so if you're struggling to finish it once you won't ever get the plat. I've tried multiple times to play it a second time, even as far as to clear out a couple districts, but I can't stomach playing it for more then 20 minutes now since beating it. I wish I could play it through a second time but with Gamestop offering $40 for it through 4/20 and The Show dropping in a couple weeks I'm going to move on at this point and get as much as I can. Having said all that, I had a pretty good time playing this game the first time through but I've always struggled playing any story based game more then once and that's no different here.I bought this game almost 2 months ago, and I've only played it for about 1 hour. Re: inFAMOUS: Second Son
I doubt ill ever beat it, I only just barely got neon and also have the 'can't play more than 20 minutes at a time' bug. Like Titanfall I dont regret buying it, fun game in a drought of releases.

Re: inFAMOUS: Second Son
You aren't alone, well except the two months thing. I loved the first two, but there is really something lacking in the game. There isn't any one thing I can point to and say that sucks (well, nothing that would make me not like the game, the jumping animation is awful), it's just I don't enjoy my time with the game. I think the rinse and repeat control clearing missions, and the fact they are soooo similar, is a big part of it. I think I'm also not a big fan of the powers, I feel like I'm playing an TPS.I bought this game almost 2 months ago, and I've only played it for about 1 hour. Re: inFAMOUS: Second Son
I was a huge fan of the first two games and have enjoyed this one too, but going going through it a 2nd time has been a bit tedious. I am at 84% now so I'm close to that platinum. The issue here is that they should of changed things up a bit for your evil playthrough. I also think that the story should of been affected by your evil choices. It was acceptable with the first two games, but by the third they should of made changes to the formula. I don't regret getting the game and it was a blast the first time through, my second time through has been mainly to get that plat. You aren't alone, well except the two months thing.
