Who else owned a 3DO?

Hello...my name is Drew.

And I spent 700 bones on a 3DO.

I will admit though....it had the single most fun game I've ever played....RETURN FIRE.

If you never played it...it was basically Capture the Flag, with 2 players controlling opposing sides. You had a helicopter, a tank, and a jeep to catch the flag. Each vehicle had its own "theme music" for instance...when you drove the jeep...it played Flight of the Bumblebee. When you played as the Helicopter...it played the Flight of the Valkeyrie from Apocolypse Now. The Tank had Mars God of War as its theme.

Unreal fun game. It was ported over to Playstation later on..but never as good as the 3DO version.

Aaaaahhh...memories.

I owned that bad boy and spent at least $500 on it. I first took notice of it like 15 years ago in Walt Disney World. They had a kiosk at the Epcot center displaying Need for Speed and I was stunned...

That version was the absolute best bar none on any system to date! If any of you ever get the chance to play it on a 3DO system your in for an incredible ride.

I don't know where EA went wrong after that but the series was never the same.

Don't think I've played Return Fire although it sounds familiar.

Thank the heavens i was just getting into college and didnt have a dime, else i would have probably gotten one too ( owner of a sega cd and *gasp* 32x)

I remember watching demos of it at a local Sound Advice. They would play Batman the animated tune and 2 stupid dogs. hehehe
