    True. I can see a Halo season pass, or a COD season pass. You expect map packs, and most are going to get all three to four in the end. The most recent Saints Row is a good example of a bad Season Pass purchase. Even the DLC's for Borderlands 2 have been "so-so".

      EA clarified these comments, he was referring primarily to the mobile platform where everything is going free to play for the most part and they've brought in the ability to do credit card processing and all that jazz. Additionally they don't view DLC and things like Premium Subscriptions and DLC as 'microtransactions' but rather extensions of the game.

      AKA this was all just EA doing what every other company is doing for the most part.
