Just saw this on steam and didn't see a thread. If you order now you get early access on April 5th. I was obsessed with this game in high school. It's 10% off too. Anyone else play this game?

I hear ya, that was my favorite out of all of them. I just love greek mythology though.

However, AOE 2 is what a certain group of friends and I played all throughout hunior high.
Already started talking to them again about this game, cant wait to start playing together again

Exact same with me. We had about 5 or 6 of us every single night. Even played those random "homemade" maps that had objectives and story elements.

I wish this translated well to console. It didn't take a very good PC to run it.

We played every day in my computer/keyboarding class. Someone uploaded the game to the County School server with a teacher's password and for every disk we could have three people playing.

This is what we did every day, along with emulators through the LAN and she occasionally let us bring an XBOX and Halo 2.

So how does this compare to rise of nations?

It doesn't go to modern age..it's also the predecessor to RoN so some of the nice features RoN has aren't present here.

Very similar games otherwise. Both are very good.
