Re: DuckTales Remastered
I think would be pretty easy to get $15 worth out of this game, even if you're not nostalgic for the NES game, but like platforming. The game itself isn't very long - my 2nd playthrough on Hard went 1 hour 23 minutes when I skipped the cutscenes, and I still had a couple of stage resets due to losing all my lives. Easy (infinite lives) and Normal (max 8 hearts, lose all lives and restart the stage) are pretty tame, but Hard can be pretty challenging with a max of 5 hearts. If you beat that...
Spoiler
Extreme mode unlocks which pulls no punches - it IS true NES difficulty. Same as hard, except No mid-game content saving - lose all your lives and it's Game Over, back to the beginning! It also forces the "Hard Pogo" on you, which means you have to hold down on the D-Pad just like the old NES game.
If you only want to play it once and beat it I'd say it wouldn't be worth the $$ unless you're really nostalgic for the game, but it's meant to be played through more than once.Comment

Re: DuckTales Remastered
Thanks for that. I've never really watched Giant Bomb but it was solid. I also don't usually watch 37 minute playthroughs but after about 10 minutes the completionist in me began to emerge. Also, I figure with 2K and GTA, I won't be buying this one so the video more or less satiated my desires.Comment

Re: DuckTales Remastered
Just purchased this on PSN. Can't wait to play this weekend. LOVED the original on NES and I still own it to this day.Comment
