I have a PS2 and am thinking about trading it in for an XBOX. I don't have any problems with my PS2 and I use it for a DVD player along with games because I'm too cheap to buy a regular DVD player lol.
I want to "go to the dark side" because my friend has an XBOX and the advantages of the big black machine seem to outnumber those of Sony's product. No memory cards, beter controllers, the hard drive with the ability to save music, and some awesome games that weren't realeased for PS2 seem great to me.
So anyway, I was wondering if one of the XBOX users on this forum could tell me if they have ever encountered any problems and how they were fixed, did you send it to Microsoft and receive a new one as I've heard Sony does, or did you have to pay for a repair with your own money. Also, how well do DVD's run on XBOX's?...I've heard you need a remote to play them, is this true?
For those of you that have traded in your PS2 for the XBOX, roughly how much money do you receive back? I'm on a budget so I can't really go out and buy an XBOX without trading in my PS2.
