    Gamespy Arcade?

I just recently heard that Gamespy arcade can somehow be used, in combination with your XBOX, to play games online that aren't technically online compatible. From what I understand, the Gamespy Arcade softward fools your XBOX into thinking that it's using system link, so that you can play games like Halo multiplayer online. Can anyone confirm if this is true? Do you need XBOX Live to do this?

Cool....so does it work well? What has been your experience with it?

Also, from what I can tell, it's not free. There's a one time purchase price to download the XBC program.

It was free when I did it. Also only system link games can be used...

Hmmm....that suxx. If you want to download it now you have to pay a $14.95 charge. Is it well worth it? Being able to play Halo online with 8 - 16 players would probably be worth the one-time fee alone, but if it's very laggy or if it's particularly difficult to find people to play with, I'd like to know that beforehand.

Also, Gamespy Arcade seems to be free of charge and as far as I can tell is supposed to do the same thing. Anyone know about that?

                            dude, it's still free.

only upgrading to 'pro' costs anything.

                            I never had pro.

I also only played on it a couple times so I can't really give my opinion.

                            here's a site that's better. free too: http://www.xboxlink.co.uk/
