So your unimpressed with a trailer that absolutely showed no gameplay at all? I know theres a lot hate for CoD, myself included, however come on. At least allow a game to show you what they hope to accomplish first before writing them off.

I saw the name then was hopeful they were doing something entirely new and it'd be a horror game.

CoD is already about as Close Quarters as you can get, just about every map they put out now adays is Tight alleys, and sharp corners so you're constantly within Shotgun distance of enemies.. maps like Dome, and Arkaden come to mind. The more open maps with longer lines of sight are becoming few and far between.

As far as your second point, No I don't think they'll go the way of a Tactical, cover based shooter. It should be the same Twitch based, arcade style gameplay that we've come to expect from CoD.

The premise does nothing for me. That's why I am unimpressed. Plus the idea of a "ghost" is that of a sniper/infiltrator so that just presumes this will be the snipe happy campers triple delight.

if there was a cover system, dynamic prone, vehicles that could be used, and other new elements I could change my tune but since infinity ward doesn't veer too far off the beaten path and black ops has been the only COD game to branch out ... then yea... I am just not impressed... gameplay or no gameplay.

Lets be honest for a second. people have earned the right to be skeptical about anything with the name Call of Duty on it. Let's not act like we're surprised people are all ready out on it before there are even details.

There are even more people overly optimistic about it with the same lack of information. We're all not so different, we just share different opinions.

I think this franchise would be better served if it only had a single developer and they were on a two year game cycle. At this point. It ends up being two years between each developer's new release, but it still feels like it's just a video game cash cow for pre teens and folks who can overlook the glaring flaws, which is something I don't have the patience to do anymore.

I hope the Campaign is solid. I'll likely rent it down the line to play that, but It won't be a purchase. I really enjoyed MW 1-3 Campaigns and even though I was burned out on COD, I still rented MW3 just to finish out the story.

Good luck to you guys who are hanging on for some good news with this title. I just fear that wishing for a new game engine may be asking for too much, considering how little they have listened to the fanbase in the past.

OMG man you nailed it. I really and truly hope they stop the bullsh1t and man this game up. It can be so much fun, but they kiddie the crap out of the game.

BO2 really disappointed me, when in the first BO that game was much more balanced.

I expect to see more moves in the game, but what im really looking for is for them to think things threw for each and every game mode, and decide what perks or equiptment should be eliminated to make that mode more balanced and challenging.

Example in SND if your going to have hardcore mode eliminate all launchers in that mode. Make it more about strategy and not payers just launching grenades all over the place for easy kills. In MW3 they had recon and site rep pro which made it so easy to get kills in that mode. remove those perks for that mode.

I just want for them to be much smarter in putting the game together.

Your right with your statement, but what has me writing them off even without a gameplay trailer to view. Is hearing that the game is set in the future.

That to me is a horrible idea, and tends for me to believe that this COD game is going to be extremely annoying.

I'm really hoping splinter blacklist does spies vs mercs correctly, so I can go back to game where playing as a team, and having strategy means everything if your going to win or lose.

I could be wrong about COD Ghost , but being in the future just gives me a very bad vibe.

No matter how much I downplay Infinity Ward's titles, I always over anticipate them. Can't wait to see what's going to be in store for the next gen.

Wow. I don't play these mainstream military shooters, but is this how bad it's really gotten these days ?
