I really like Blops 2 but man this videos above just seem "off". Something about the game seems weird, weak gun sounds, hyper speed running, I don't know quite what it is but it looks not as good as blops 2.

Honestly those videos are ridiculous. How is it possible that the gameplay is getting faster?

The reason I think they keep upping the speed is to appease the MLG people. Personally I like the speed of the earlier games (COD 4, WAW). They were fast but a controlled fast. Now it seems you just spin and shoot without a thought of aiming making it to twitchy.

It's been a historic run for COD, but this seems like the year that the **** hits the fan.

Interest seems like its at an all time low.

I think people are just burnt out. I mean it's pretty much been the same gameplay since COD4. At some point even the biggest COD fan is going to get tired of it.

I also think that Battlefield has a lot to do with the lack of interest.

Edit: 13 is right though. This game will still sell a ton of copies

I'm excited but not jumping for joy. I always buy CoD every year but end up not playing it a few months later, then pick it back up again.

Gone are the days for me where I could play Call of Duty 4 and World at War day in and day out. The addiction factor isn't there anymore.

MW3 really killed this series for a lot of my friends. I finally started to get sick of it with BO2. But I still enjoy any CoD game that comes out. Like you said though, It's just not addicting anymore(at least IMO). I'm hoping next gen will really spark my interest again but I'm probably waiting for the next cod to make that jump.

MW3 really killed this series for a lot of my friends. I finally started to get sick of it with BO2. But I still enjoy any CoD game that comes out. I heard MW3 killed the series for a lot of people, mainly for the "Death Streaks" and ****. Rewarding someone for doing bad.

I've never owned a MW, though.. so I don't have a real opinion on them. I will say that once I heard about "Death Streaks" is the reason I never went out and picked it up for cheap.

Death streaks could be annoying, but I really don't understand how that's been one of the big complaints. It's really the lag compensation that bothers people(even though some people are unaware of what it even is).

That, and of course, when people struggle to adapt to any new CoD, well...people often don't like games they don't do well in. Yes all the CoD's are somewhat similar but not every strategy translates to every game. So people tend to blame the game instead of improving.

More than anything I hear is..."their team is modding", "this game is BS", "this guy has a lag switch", "I just went 25-10 now I'm only 12-12, how is that possible, the game is broken", etc

I just found out what lag comp is. Funny ppl online always complain about not shown as shooting on killcam , or dying from one shot etc... They just don't know some of it is lag comp.
