Re: Call of Duty: Ghosts
Still toying with the idea of going over to walmart in the morning to pick up a copy. Im sure they will have hundreds ( they usually do )
I just don't really want the two following problems
1) COD taking up all my free time, lol
2) COD raising my blood pressure and anger levels significantly
What to do, what to do?Comment

Re: Call of Duty: Ghosts
Debating about going to walmart at midnight to pick this up. I enjoyed BLOPS 2,that was until I got fed up with the ridiculous target finder and the shotgun "craze"
Still have a few hours to decide though...decisions,decisionsPeople are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.“I believe the game is designed to reward the ones who hit the hardest – If you can’t take it, you shouldn’t play!” Jack Lambert“Quarterbacks should wear dresses.” Jack LambertComment

Seriously debating about picking this up for 360. I'm already getting Killzone/BF4 for PS4. Need something on the 360 and I have plenty on friends who aren't making the jump.

Re: Call of Duty: Ghosts
Impressions from watching other people's games...
You die quickly. Very quickly. It looks like almost every gun is like a 2-3 shot kill and it's a little ridiculous to be honest. Everything looks to be very fast paced -- faster than any other CoD I've seen or played. Not sure if that'll be a good thing. I like fast, but not too fast. Another thing, the maps are HUGE. Compared to other CoDs the size difference is pretty big, I'm not too sure how I like that either. Ranking up looks to be a lot slower than previous games and the cost for perks and what not looks pricey.
Will be interesting to see how much I like this one. Looking forward to it.Last edited by jacory12; 11-04-2013, 10:54 PM.Comment

Re: Call of Duty: Ghosts
seen this on gamefaqs....
Short MP Review:
Call of Duty Ghosts is a game I was looking forward to but just can't justify to anyone on current gen. It feels like a rushed, sloppy, cash grab for the sake of having a CoD game out on the systems available right now.
Graphics are an actual step back from BLOPS II and the maps just look bland in general. The levelution in this is really poor as well. 1 Map is simply a Gas Station falling over (One of the better ones) while another is just popping a lock on a door or pushing a button to go up an elevator. The character models all look solid, same for the guns, but the maps are just poor. One of the maps that looks kind of cool on next gen (Flooded) is a mess on X360
In regards to controls nothing has change and nothing needs to change. I just wish we could get the dive from BLOPS 1 back. I loved that thing so much.
Sound is the same CoD sounds you've always gotten.
Gameplay is pretty much the same as usual but the guns feel far more tame than previous games, as do the streaks. Some odd choices in the perk area like the decision to bring Danger Close back as well as a new form of Stopping Power.
There's some odd design choices in terms of Game Modes too. SnD not being in at launch (if ever) outside of Private Matches is a big turn off. As is the lack of Demolition, Headquarters, and recent favorite Hardpoint. Ground War isn't really noticeable to me because with this CoD I feel Team Tactical shines more than usual.
Some of the new modes feel lackluster like Infection and Blitz. Some other modes (as well as perks) Promote Camping more than usual like SnR and the Fully Loaded perk.
The maps themselves also have a huge layout that favors camping. Multiple tiers with multiple rooms and no real choke points.
A lot of this stuff might look pretty in next gen but if you were going to buy this for the upgrade program I don't see why you would buy it on X360 instead of PS3 since the best Ghost experience will be on PS4.People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.“I believe the game is designed to reward the ones who hit the hardest – If you can’t take it, you shouldn’t play!” Jack Lambert“Quarterbacks should wear dresses.” Jack LambertComment

Re: Call of Duty: Ghosts
A word of warning for PC users. A whole lot of raging going on the steam forums. Apparently the 6gb of ram requirement will literally lock you out from even playing the game. Some controversy over this since the game maxed on multiplayer is using less than 2gb of ram. First game I have ever heard of on the PC locking the game due to ram....especially when it doesn't need it.Comment

Re: Call of Duty: Ghosts
I regards to the quoted post from GameFAQ's.
No offense but who would even buy this for current generation consoles? All the previews and events that have been held to this date have had the game played on next generation systems. The game itself has been developed using the next generation systems. Reason there is no Ground War in current gen consoles if because with all the "next gen" stuff they've crammed into the current gen game, the game itself can't handle more than 12 people at a time. I am bummed about SnD not being available at launch. That was my second most favorite game type after Domination.
Mind boggling stuff if you ask me.
I can wait until November 15th though, no sense buying the game on current gen consoles only to be let down for a week.Last edited by SinisterAlex; 11-05-2013, 12:13 AM.Xbox LIVE GT: oALEXtheGREATo

Re: Call of Duty: Ghosts
There are enough people out there that either can't afford a next gen console, or don't want to spend 400 dollars on release for a console with limited library.
I got it for the ps3 for that very reason. Not sure when I will get a PS4 but glad that when I do I can upgrade to the ps4 version for only 10 bucks digitally when I do.NHL: Vegas Golden Knights
