Re: Titanfall (Xbox One/360/PC)
I admit I'm not in the loop as much as others, but I thought that new game "Destiny" was going to be the end-all, be-all.http://kotaku.com/forget-about-a-tit...con-1454335261
This is the first major blow that Sony has had to deal with. I'm not sure there's a more hyped game in the world right now.
Titanfall does look really cool though. I've all but given up on FPS's but this game does look really good.Comment

Re: Titanfall (Xbox One/360/PC)
A bit of a bump, as I come here to humble-brag.
I got to play Titanfall today at my workplace. I'm not allowed to talk about any specifics whatsoever about the game itself or how we (my employer, SRRN Games) were able to see it, but in general I'll say that my bosses have industry connections.
I can tell you that Titanfall is FLIPPING AWESOME. There was never a dull moment in the matches I played and watched, and it screams next-gen more than any other XBOX One / PlayStation 4 title I've seen gameplay of thus far. It is absolutely worth buying an XBOX One for this game alone, in my opinion. I will be doing exactly that myself come March.Comment

Great to hear as I will have that bad boy paid off by Feb 1. Then have MGS paid off by March 1. The good times are about to roll.A bit of a bump, as I come here to humble-brag.

Re: Titanfall (Xbox One/360/PC)
Wow. Quite an endorsement. Do you think this game will have staying power beyond the initial honeymoon period? Is there enough variety in gameplay? I've been debating whether to pick this up at launch or wait for the price drop.A bit of a bump, as I come here to humble-brag.

Re: Titanfall (Xbox One/360/PC)
Again, I'm not allowed to talk specifics, but I thought the gameplay mechanics independent of any game mode had plenty of variety - more than any recent console FPS I've played, which admittedly is not a huge number; I've recently played Bioshock Infinite, Modern Warfare 3, Modern Warfare 2, and Duke Nukem Forever, and I've never really had the desire to play any of the Battlefield games. Of those games listed above which I have played, it's my opinion that Titanfall's gameplay mechanics are easily stronger and more varied than all of them.
It's the first time in a long while I've been just completely glued to the screen while even just watching someone else play a game.
tl;dr - I do think this game has longevity and I can't recommend it enough.Comment

Re: Titanfall (Xbox One/360/PC)
I too got to play it some.
Absolutely phenomenal game.
(I played about a month ago...so it's even more polished by now)
It's really the only reason I got the XBOne at this point to be honest.
While TitanFall itself is exclusive....I thought they said any sequels would be across all consoles.

Re: Titanfall (Xbox One/360/PC)
First I thought it sounded low. Then I remembered all the fun I used to have in Original Gears of War online and how small teams were back then.
Also from the article this sounds cool too:
If this sounds lower than you're used to, don't panic. Every player-controlled character can have a Titan in follow or guard mode if they wish, and there'll be plenty of AI fighters helping to populate the battlefield too. Quite how many wasn't revealed, but Zampella was adamant that battles would still feel hectic.Comment

Re: Titanfall (Xbox One/360/PC)
Yeah....but it's a bit of a downer for me.
We usually get 12-15 guys from my firehouse and we play together against other houses and others online.
Bummer...and the first one from Titan for me so far.
Not the end of the world though.
