I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

Re: Titanfall (Xbox One/360/PC)
I didn't see it mentioned anywhere, but it looks like Titanfall will also have some sort of sword play if you use a specific kind of Titan.
This game went from not having a ton of depth to having a crap ton of depth in about two weeks. Hard to understand how Respawn was able to keep the most hyped game of the year under wraps so well.Writer for Operation Sports

For Titanfall bundle people, I read on IGN if you text MSHS to 29502 you get a unique coupon code to bring the price down to 474.99. Only works on the Microsoft website.Comment

Re: Titanfall (Xbox One/360/PC)
That really isn't much better than what I saw. 60 fps on the ten year old source engine is not very good at all.
As for the GPU memory thing it's not a matter of if you have it or not it just shouldn't take that much.
To me this looks like a really poorly optimized game and they appear to have not compressed a damn thing because they "have" to fill up a whole blu ray even though the console in no way can handle those uncompressed high res textures or whatever it is taking up 40 GB on xbox and 48 GB on pc. No clue what that 8 gb difference is but the size really makes no sense to me.I am the lesson after the fall.Comment

Not sure why I'm bothering as I'm sure you'll find something negative to say about a 20 GB install as well!Last edited by doubledeuceR6; 02-28-2014, 11:51 AM.Texas Rangers/Saints/LSU/Tottenham Hotspur

Sorry to beat a dead horse here, but it did anyone notice this game not being in true 1080P?
Any frame-rate issues?
What were your connection speeds?
Where I live, the highest available is 6/.6 DSL.
P.S. VTPack919, love the pic and sig.
Reminds me of this pic:

Re: Titanfall (Xbox One/360/PC)
I did experience the occasional hiccup during the beta but nothing where the game just bogged down and was unplayable, not even close.
My speed test results usually tell me I'm 17 to 20 download range and 1.10 to 1.20 upload range depending on what browser I'm running the test in. I pay for a 15 Meg download speed.Last edited by doubledeuceR6; 02-28-2014, 03:10 PM.Texas Rangers/Saints/LSU/Tottenham Hotspur

3GB GPU is only necessary for the "Insane" texture setting. And honestly for a "gaming" pc you really should not have less than 3. If you do then you don't have a higher end gaming pc and should not expect to run games flawlessly at high settings. DCS is not a new game by any stretch and has a heavy demand on the GPU and almost demands 3. Not really a stretch to see Titanfall requiring that for what apparently is some super resolution textures.
That being said, there is no way the additional 28-30GB is strictly for the textures necessary for insane. Especially when the insane textures don't really look all that much better than standard textures. For pc users 50GB is a tough pill to swallow no matter what and for the life of me I can't see a logical explanation for why the game is that large on a pc (from what I have seen to this point). There needs to be something pretty magical they haven't released yet about the variance between the pc and xbone versions that justifies the additional 30GB.Comment
