I played a three rounds of the new "horde" mode. It tasks four players with defending a centrally located fuel harvester. Each map I played had a different number of waves to withstand, between 4 and 6. If the harvester gets destroyed you get 2 more chances to start over on the current wave. Out of three rounds I made it to the end once.
On certain waves you have to make your way around the map to take out morter Titans that bombard the fuel harvester from long range. Its a lot of ground to cover with four guys as you have enemies storming the harvester at the same time. A revive ability would be nice. You do respawn, but it takes some time and when you are down a man or two on the later waves its difficult to overcome.
With all the AI and Titan killing I was leveling up faster than the versus games. Its fun and free, but it doesn't feel as perfectly fine tuned as the original game modes.
