Halo has always had a large skill gap, easily one of the largest in shooters. Halo 5 also has less aim assist than any prior Halo I've played.

My tips:

Playing with friends can help a lot. Stick with your team or a teammate, because lone wolf habits tend to get punished. Slow down and don't overextend yourself. Don't chase or force 1v1s, at least not initially and not until you're sure you have an advantage.

Lies. Lone wolves tactic work wonders in ctf lol. That might only be because while 3 of my team went one way I went the other in truth and the enemies attacked them. I walked in grabbed the flag went back the way I cane and never once saw an enemy lol.

But than again the enemies probably weren't very good as we won in like 3 or 4 minutes with 3 captures. I ended up with 3 kills 0 deaths and 2 captures with 1 flag grab. (Final capture was when my teammate dies from a grenade. Grabbed flash went rest of the way including killing the enemy there)

Granted that was the only won I had last night after going 9-1 in the preliminary matches.

Have to add - Dedicated servers rule!! This is really awesome. I can't go back to peer to peer PVP after this.

Yep, and their not just used for matchmaking. Campaign co-op and custom games too.

Its a tough game, just keep playing. This game is more of an E-game which means it is built for competitive gamers. Even if you are not one of those, just don't get down on yourself for getting wrecked. It takes hours of learning before you get halfway decent, and that is part of the fun when the light clicks on for certain things.

Don't run into the middle of the map - stay on the outside
Stick with teammates
Master switching to the handgun for long and medium range and AR for short
Don't aim down sites unless it is long range.

I am not that great. Just learning from teammates who are and I am seeing improvements in my game as well.

Have to add - Dedicated servers rule!! This is really awesome. I can't go back to peer to peer PVP after this.

I'm slowly starting to learn this tho I still lone wolf it, I just camp where I'm at and if I see opposing teammates bunch together coming my way I take off to another side of the map. Might not be racking up on kills but it spares me from dying a lot.

No split screen...It was not included in the game...If you want to do co op campaign it has to be online

Yeah mine was KOPA when u stated. I think it is just a tag and not the clans actual one so I changed mine to BM26

I knew that, but I haven't tried this yet...

Is it possible for me to have a friend here in my living room, and both of us play online, same team, splitscreen like in the past? Or did they eliminate that too?

They eliminated all split screen. The closes you will get is if you had 2 controllers, 2 accounts 2 x boxes and 2tvs and put the tvs on top of each other and make it lol split screen lol.

But yeah sad to see split screen go away
