So after a quick read. My first question is "What took so long?". It seemed like a no brainer that named NPCs should drop golds. The fact that that farming them was the easiest way to see that they do in fact drop them is kind of silly. But hey progress is progress. Second, I don't beleive that chart at all that NPC drops were accounting for over 20% of items. I would say that I have two items that dropped from NPCs that I use. SOCOM M1A and the Caducues.

Oh well this is a much better way to go about things and I predict that DZ05 and 06 are about to get a lot more interesting in the coming weeks.

The gear has to have mod slots in them (the small rectangular blocks at the bottom) similar to the weapons. Not all have them, some will have one slot and you can find some with two slots, but do require you ranking up higher and getting into the purple gear or higher.

Ah ok... I currently have all blue for my gear... That's probably why I haven't come across this yet?

I don't think gear slot stuff started showing up until in the 20s, but gear mods started before that.


Also, this new news gives us an idea about what gear score is since level 30 guys drop 162 or whatever.

Ah ok... I currently have all blue for my gear... That's probably why I haven't come across this yet?

Possibly, I don't recall if blues can have slots (I think so), it's been awhile since I have looked at a blue as anything but a deconstructed material producer lol

Guaranteed HE drop is huge even for solo players, if I'm understanding this correctly. Every Hard difficulty mission ends with a 30+ named elite when you yourself are level 30. And those are easily soloable with even decent endgame equipment.

I don't think we're going to have a lack of HE's due to the crafting change.

I've seen some of the most diabolical rogue shenanigans.

Last night a guy joined our squad, smoked his buddy, then his level 80 DZ friend smoked us while he ran off and left the squad.

I've had guys run in front of our group so we accidentally go rogue, then annihilate us.

I've had guys wave the flag of truce then blow me away as the heli appears.

Frequently I've seen the throw a grenade or shoot me then play rabbit trying to lead us into an ambush.

Frustrating yet hilarious.

So, basically, they've made it so you don't want to pick up purples and made it more lucrative to go rogue. I'm not hating it, but they should have balanced going rogue considering now if you see someone in the DZ they will pretty much guarantee they have something worth taking.

Although yeah people in the DZ will likely have more you still have no way at all of knowing that, they could have just extracted or just came into the DZ for all you know. And it'll be even more mandatory now to pick up purples for crafting since it will take more. I think they are making a wise choice in how they are handling this but we shall see I guess..

The DZ is going to be a very unfriendly place for solo and less than 4 man groups. Every extraction is going to be the tense as hell now....

Or it will be like the first week DZ where everyone just wants to get their loot out and be peaceful about it.

Yeah and I have a plan, on some of my DZ adventures I plan to pick up only the lowest of the low, all blues and greens, maybe some appearance items, have my bag full of worthless crap......Come n' get me you Rogue trash!! Hahaha

Can someone explain how to use first aid to heal yourself? do you throw it at your feet? Is there a way to use it without throwing it? I was having a ton of problems trying to heal quickly while being attacked but it kept bringing up that gun to shoot it and it just was taking too long to aim at area near u and pressing yet another button to shoot.

I like how u can press 1 button and deploy support station at your feet.

Hopefully I'm missing something with the first aid.
