They were cheap with loot.
There were multiple exploits for PXC early on.
They have way too many concurent economies.
PVP is the haves and have nots
Crafting is the way to the best gear and they have greatly increased the crafting grind.
There is/was a hugh exploit to the newest content and that content is rather boring.


I'm sure I missed a few, but that pretty much covers it.

...so I have been trying to play Incursion this weekend and like 4 or 5 times when I would randomly join a group I would get bounced within the first minute. I just assumed it was server issues, new patch, traffic, etc. Then on the last game as I was waiting to join I heard on my mic another player say "I don't mess with anyone in the 160's [gear level] they die too quickly". And sure enough I got dropped 10 seconds after joining the dteam. Then it dawned on me - I was kicked out of the group. And not just this group. Every group I tried to join. These rat bastard randoms are discriminating against me because I only have a gear score of 160??!! (Which by the way is the game recommended minimum. You only need a score of 140 for access) Screw dem! I'll show them - when I get my score up and lead a team in the Incursion I'll accept all lowly rated players! (unless they really suck, or are annoying, or die to quickly - then they gotta go)

I wrote about my experience a few pages back about my weekend & getting kicked right before the last boss died in which I get nothing to show for it, 3 times! To Ebay this game shall go. Time to finally crack open Witcher 3.

The loot thing is the biggest detractor from this game. They probably felt like if we are too generous with loot people will leave and never come back.....But that is the wrong way to look at it. You want people to leave "happy" take a break and come back for the next DLC/Incursion/whatever with good memories of the times and loot they got, that is how you get them to come back. Not I spent 6 hours running challenges and didn't get one usable item just a bunch of crafting materials.

The fact that crafting is STILL the way to go and they just made that so much harder show how they missed the point/mark. People that leave because they didn't/couldn't/won't glitch incursions are never coming back. Period the ones that stay are only going to stay for so long as Massive figures out how to stop the glitches and exploits to the best gear, because again loot drops in this game suck. You kill a lvl 32 DZ06 Mob and get a 163 gear score weapon GTFO....I'll go glitch the incursion and pull a 204 Warlord and 240 Armor sets.

Full 240s and all 204 weapons is the way to go.

Yeah, I gotta admit, I thought I was gonna be like a crack addict quitting cold turkey last week and this week. I was too busy with a ton of stuff to get online at all since last Tuesday or so, and I fly out for a week in South Dakota in about 10 hours, and yet, I honestly don't mind that it'll be a full two weeks before I potentially can even get back into the game.

I don't feel at all as if I'm gonna miss this game for the next 7 days. I'll still definitely play it when I get back from South Dakota, but I'm not itching like a junkie needing my next fix like I was after both betas and like I was every time I had to turn the game off for the first two or three weeks after release.

Those couple weeks, I constantly kept track in the back of my head how long until I could jump back on and team back up with friends for missions or the DZ, how long until I could kill some scum and clean the streets. Now? If I go two, three, seven days without getting on, or 14 in the current case by the time I get back home from my trip, it's just sort of like "oh well, maybe I'll get on tomorrow or the day after if I feel like it".

And that makes me really ****ing sad, because I genuinely truly enjoy and like this game. I WANT to pour hundreds and even thousands of hours into this game. And yet it almost just keeps getting worse with every new change or update that Massive makes to it. It's on a constantly downhill trend with each new update or patch, each new news release by Massive, etc.

Yeah, I put the game down when Souls came out and have yet to pick it back up. Now that I'm reading all of these issues and how hilariously out of touch Massive is, I can't imagine playing again anytime soon.

Which is unfortunate, as the gameplay is one of a kind. I sincerely hope they get it figured out.

I'm sure Massive will, they should've paid more attention to Diablo & Destiny's shortcomings and learned from their mistakes. Both those games a year later are doing it right.

It's only 1 month in, I'm sure they see & read everything being said on places like reddit & social media in general.

The loot (drops) issue is the biggest thing they need to address. Time will tell, I do still enjoy this game immensely tho. I'm just not grinding as hard as I used to.

As it is right now, I sit at GS of 158 and have no interest in moving up to the next bracket. Game is effectively dead for me at this point. Sucks, I want to play but I don't want to advance. You know the game is ****ed up when people have that sentiment.

I have a similar feeling, but at GS 171 (I wouldn't say the game is "dead" to me, though). I'm at a point where, in the absence of any OS friends to party up with, all I can really do to progress is do the daily and weekly assignments for loot and phoenix credits and work towards being able to craft the set items. I don't really want to try to jump into the incursion for the first time with randoms, even if I am halfway decently outfitted. And unfortunately I often missed the boat lately with the other OS'ers due to work, playoff hockey, The Show and some other factors out of my control.

I have less than zero interest in hard grinds and exploits, so I'll probably just wait until I can find a time to party up again. Might be awhile if the Blues make a deep playoff run.

It's rather curious to me that Massive still has not removed mobile cover from the game. Does anybody actually use it for anything but glitching?

I haven't touched the game in 2 weeks. It will probably be something I come back to down the line after they iron out all the kinks.

Awesome gameplay and atmosphere. Lackluster endgame, lootgame, and economygame which leads to one of the most exploited mmo-like games I've ever seen.

This has become a pickup and play game for me now when I am not longer wanting to play other games I have. I get on for about 1 to 2 hours then I am off. Still have fun with it but definitely don't invest as much time into it as I once did.
