I've gotten to that rooftop extraction 3 times in the DZ, Hunter got me every time smh.

One time it was two of us and only one of us used our flare gun to call in. Well apparently one Hunter per person shows because we got two of them.

It's pretty neat, kinda fun but after playing pretty far in multiple times the novelty wore off on me. At least you get caches after it.

Nearby Fire barrels show up on the map, so you can waypoint to them if you need to warm up quickly.

Yea you absolutely need the map in survival or you'll become one of the first 10 or so noobs of the 24 that die right away. It's a necessity to plot your way from spot to spot to build up your gear quick & strong enough to get to the DZ and eventual extractions. Once you've done it a few times you can gear up pretty quickly and try to extract again.

So challenging that it makes you want to keep playing but that same challenge is so frustrating you want to shut it off

Just got back into this game after a long hiatus due to major back log of games.

Do I need to be a certain level to do Survival or The Underground DLC? I'm only a level 22 as I'm making my way through all the SP stuff.

Don't think so. Your gear score is irrelevant in the survival part when you first get there

Tried a couple of survivor runs last night with a group of 4. Tons of fun and freshens up the game a bit and something that you can break up the everyday looting runs with. First time we all died shortly after getting close to the DZ as we came across 4 LMBs and got wrecked. On another run we all made it to the DZ and then also to the extraction that another player had called. He was laying on the deck after getting hammered by a hunter. We laughed and pulled a dick move by not picking him up. Took out his Hunter, then 4 other Hunters (presumably every player at the extraction gets a Hunter lol) and we got wrecked. Really enjoy this DLC and I think with some time to figure out a better strategy, we should complete the extraction. One thing that I see is that its not really who gets to the DZ and extraction first wins. We had a full game and 6 people in our game made it to the DZ and extraction but were dropped quickly because they (and we) were clearly undergunned and undergeared. I think when we run it tonight, we are going to focus on getting medicine and PKers to stop our infection while we try to get as much gear as possible before we try to go to the DZ. Have found that most of the better gear is close to the DZ and around the perimeter of it. Also, crafted a turret last night and man that thing is really good......I would highly suggest it, especially if you are doing the run solo.

went in with a group of 4. on the first try, we survived a long time. I ended up 2nd agent left alive. died to the disease.

I think it was on our 4th attempt that we were able to extract successfully, all 4 of us.

we were on the PvE version to test it out. we split off into pairs at the beginning and went in opposite directions. once we got filters and got skills, we met up and went into the dark zone together, looked for who's antidote was closer and went towards it, picked it up and tried to extract.

our first extraction attempt didn't go well. we had another group of 4 join us, all that did was increase the amount of hunters that came. we all ended up dead from the hunters or disease timer ran out. the 2nd extraction run, we were prepared, all of us had 3 painkillers, 3 medicines and probably over 15 minutes each on the timer. took our time to clear out the hunters and then extracted.

next up is to try out PvP survival mode.

After deciding I'm not farming lexington anymore a few days ago because the game hates me, what do I get in a field proficiency cache today but Barretts vest. LMAO.

Same way i got the Messenger bag actually. Only 2 named armor pieces I have so far.

Dark Zone question. I'm only Level 8, is there a level I should be on where I can run this and not get absolutely destroyed? Wanting better gear badly. So far, love the game more than I anticipated. Glad I got the Gold Edition on the PSN sale a few weeks back. PSN: ScaryLarito in case anyway wants to team up.

                                Man, Survival sounds awesome.

                                Few n00b questions.

Is doing Survival alone doable, or stupid to try?

Another question - SP missions I finish and complete, can I do them again, and gain more XP, or better loot if I do it on different difficulties? I see people say they are farming, etc, what's the best way to do to that in order to get better gear/weapons?
