They've really gotten the cinematic presentation down.

Yeah. Things started to look a little strange when the shooting started though.

Graphically...definitely the most amazing I've ever seen....

...but as we know, it's ALL about the gameplay...crossing fingers this game plays as well as it looks.

I think even if you've disregarded this as "generic" if you have a PS4 I believe you have to get this. The setting along with an alternative timeline for history is enough outside of the box and the graphics to garner a purchase. I believe it needs it anyway so to at least support a new ip, otherwise we'll continue getting sequels of franchises that we love but will get tired of cough* GOW *cough. Same goes for Microsoft with Quantum Break. I'd prefer a new ip versus "Halo 12" or "God of War 6 The revenge of the wrath of the desolation of Kratos"

I remember reading a lot of comments like "interactive movie" and "uninteresting gameplay" for The Last of Us and the game was magnificent and the franchise is now here to stay. I can only hope that this will succeed and hopefully learn from the mistakes of the first to create a memorable franchise and this leads to more AAA exclusives because there really aren't enough for the PS4 and XBO.

              Re: The Order: 1886

I'm still excited for this. As long as the gameplay mechanics are reasonably tight and the game is a comparable length to TLoU or Uncharted I should be fine. "Same old" shooter mechanics isn't necessarily a red flag to me. TLoU wasn't exactly compelling gameplay on it's own, but the story added tension and urgency to each gun fight.

As long as the mythos and story are compelling I'm sure it'll translate to the gameplay. Of course only time will tell, but I'm a huge Arthurian nut so this has been right up my alley since the first teaser.

                ^Completely agree!

Btw does anyone else think there should be more games that take place in or around this time period? This and the wild west are two of the most untouched time periods I can think of for games outside of a few.

That's really scary feedback confirming the fears of many. Interested in what the final product becomes, because the shooting in that brief video looks like a lot of fun.

I think people are going in with the wrong mindset, because I've read an impression that sounded nothing like that and they came away more interested than before. The way he sounded he made it seem like this is the first game to have these type of mechanics when it isn't and one of the most praised games of all time, The Last of Us, was similar. Now of course the story will have to live up to that, but if it does then it I'm satisfied because I wasn't going in expecting Gears or COD, you know?

The following is concerning, but the repelling sequence is not.

I was not impressed with the early videos but the PXE videos have change my mind. There is several singleplayer games I'm excited to finally get my hands on.

The Order 1886, Dying Lighting, Uncharted 4, Farcry 4, Batman, No Man Sky, and that game which resembles Demon Souls, drawing a blank on the name. Pretty happy with how our gaming year will be in 2015.

I think the game looks amazing, I just hope there are not a ton of QTEs.
