The trailer has given me mixed feelings. When reading/hearing about the game I was intrigued to play it, but now, I don't know why, the trailer has me turned. I think I'll pick this up eventually, but just not at full price.

Come the fall and winter, this game will be discounted and I'll pick it up then.

I saw a release date for today. Typically thought games came out on Tuesdays. Still waiting to hear a review before I pull the trigger on this one but I am intrigued

I'm intrigued by the concept, but I'm busy with life and Watch Dogs for the foreseeable future, so I'll hold off and get it on sale like you (or free if it comes to GWG). I try not to pay full price for games nowadays since I don't need it at Launch (except for Watch Dogs lol)

Murdered: Soul Suspect’s first red herring comes five minutes in. As dead detective Ronan O’Connor, you are promised an enormous and exciting ghostly skillset with which to solve complex crimes, right wrongs, and gain unbridled access to the real-world town of Salem, Massachusetts. But by the time the credits roll, that promise has only been partially fulfilled. Being a ghost in Murdered is enjoyable in fits and starts, yet the use of your powers is brutally limited, resulting in an almost entirely scripted and therefore watered-down afterlife experience.

Hmmm....

Soul Suspect is also held back by a few aggravating technical glitches. On the lower end, these issues were merely annoying. For example, the voiceover audio almost never matched up with the subtitles. But occasionally, a game-breaking glitch would ruin the flow. In my very first investigation, the buttons for examining a clue malfunctioned, prompting a restart. And the game crashed on me once during my playthrough. None of this happened often enough to ruin my experience, but it took me out of the game when it did.

I'm tempted because it's short and I need something to hold me over until UFC comes out.

I can't wait to pick this up. I love detective/mystery/history themed games and the last one I remember playing was L.A. Noire. I get that this is a very niche title, and I knew it wouldn't review well. It's definitely not for everyone, but I've liked everything I've seen.

PC Gamer gives it a 40.

There's a good game to be made out of Murdered's ambitious premise, but this isn't it. As a cheaper game it might have passed as a curio, but I'm a little horrified that something with this many transparent flaws and this little substance is being pitched at full price. Sprinkle salt on your doorstep, keep the light on, and avoid.
