    Flashback Remake..

I cannot wait for this remake. For anyone who finished the original, you felt a sense of accomplishment. The story was deep, and the puzzles challenging. This game and shenmue 1&2 are my favorites, but I never thought they would remake Flashback.

Aww man I remember this game! Me and my brother use to play the heck out this game when we were little, I forget what system is was on though, I know it had to be like Nintendo or Super Nintendo. This and Rock-n-Roll Racing was our stuff!

You must be in my age group. Lol. I'm 40 now, but back in 92 I was a 19 year old gamer and was all about the sega genesis. Looking forward to this game.

Flashback was the game back in the day. While the graphics obviously look better this go around, what really made the original stand out was the animations of the character-It still looks amazing to me to this day. Based on what I've seen gameplay wise so far, they didn't really make that portion of the game a priority which is a shame.
EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

Yesss! This is one of my all time favorites. This was the highlight of my Genesis days.

Yea I don't think the graphics were a priority. The story line is what did it for me. Trying to figure out what was going on in Conrad B. Hart's mind.

Clocked alot of hours on my sega genesis with flashback. And they are including the original with the remade flashback.

Bought this the other day on my 360. It's a good remake thus far, as far as remakes go. Very inline with the original. Oh, and the best part is they give you the old game so you can play it as well if you like!

I plan on picking it up this week if for nothing else to play the original.

I've wanted an HD Remake of this game since Xbox Live Arcade started!!! I played the original to death on the Genesis and loved it.

I tried the demo and I was a bit disappointed. I would have preferred a simpler look. No need for 3d and fancy textures. I wish they would have kept it completely 2D in style with simpler textures. Kinda like Rayman Origins look.

I may buy it just to play the original game. For those that bought this, how is the original? Did they botch that up at all?

I don't get why, but the original doesn't look as good to me as it did back then. It doesn't look like they got the animations down as well as I remember them being. But to be fair, it's been 20 years now, and I know that our fondness of our favorite games doesn't always translate into the reality of what they are today, especially when compared to games of today.

Have to agree, either that, or go all out, and make it an amazing 3D adventure like the follow-up game 'Fade to Black'.

Very interesting read on the origins of Flashback.

Martin Robinson uncovers the strange story of Flashback's origin, and how Paul Cuisset is preparing its return.

The overall look of the game has actually deterred me from buying it. Its too crispy and clean now. I remember the game moving beautifully and having sort of abstract, flat visuals to it. The abstract visuals were part of the whole package, it was done that way on purpose and kind of reminded you of a painting. Not so much now, I'll pass.
