Anybody have any idea how this will work or when it will be available without Final Fantasy pre-loaded on it. I just want to use it so I don't have to fool around with memory cards anymore. Thanks.

So you mean that I couldn't keep an NCAA 2004 franchise on this? Do you mean that the game has to be specifically programmed to work on this or I have to program the Hard drive to use it to store NCAA 2004 and other previously released games.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment

The HD might come with a boot disk where you could boot to that and then copy from from a memory card to your HD. But no you would not be able to make an NCAA 2004 save directly to the HD from NCAA - unless there the actualy is hiding the fact that its looking for a HD, which I don't think it is.Rent this space.Comment

Sooo its basically worthless for me to buy it at the moment. What about games that are coming out right now like MVP baseball and fight night 2004, will they be able to use it or is it specifically for that Final Fantasy Puppets game. If you're jonesing for a hard drive, there's a simple solution: Buy an Xbox.
Seriously, it's pretty obvious that Sony never was serious about the hard drive as a legitimate add-on for the PS2. Does anything support it other than FF?
