I haven't used cheats for any of the GTA games, and I've beaten each game 2 or 3 times. But for anyone that wants to complete the game again, and not use cheats here's a hint for you...
Earlier in the game, when you have to protect Diaz during the drug deal, fail the mission and take Diaz's car. It's doesn't damage, so you can use it to pick up Lance.

Earlier in the game, when you have to protect Diaz during the drug deal, fail the mission and take Diaz's car. It's doesn't damage, so you can use it to pick up Lance.

That's an excellent tip man. Thanks for the heads up. But, using Diaz's indestructible car isn't any different than using the tank or any vehicle like that.

yeah...I don't use cheats to advance the game, just so I can go on a killing spree

Yeah, I use the cheat to get more weapons but I don't just go around killing people. I only kill when the mission calls for it or when I accidentally run over somebody while driving. I generally abide by the traffic laws and only run red lights when I am doing a timed mission. The reason I use the weapon code is because with all the dirt that Tommy does he needs way more weapons than you can find at once.

You dont go around killing people? You abide by the traffic laws, and dont run red lights? Let me guess you dont kill any cops either right, just go along quietly? This is Grand Theft Auto not driving miss daisy lol.

And I use codes only when going on killing sprees and trying t get up to 6 stars and draw in the tanks. Otherwise it seems to easy and cheating during levels bores me.

The only thing I try NOT to do when driving is run over too many pedestrians or hit a cop car.

Otherwise lanes, traffic lights, sidewalks, and other cars are just so much eye candy.
