Somebody posted a comment that MS released a 'NEW' Xbox that has corrected this problem. Or at least cut the frequency of it way down. Does anybody know the YEAR and the MONTH that these 'NEW' Xboxes hit the market? I may have to break down and buy one.

Xbox1: Year of 'NEW' Hardware?
My current Xbox that I bought back in 2001 is giving me problems. Every time I play a game I get the 'Dirty Disk Error'. I know it is not my game disk because I clean it religiously and I am VERY respectful of my electronics. Meaning the Xbox is not abused in any way.

Re: Xbox1: Year of \'NEW\' Hardware?
What do you mean 'openings in the disk drive'? Can you use the old large controllers on the new Xbox? I have gotten used to mine and would like to keep it. So the new one does not give you any 'Disk Damaged or Dirty' errors?Comment
