This character creation thing is horrible. Grandparents are basically a colored blob. Parents look like...I don't even know right now. I'm not sure what the purpose of it is, but it makes character creation pretty pointless to me and just roll with the best looking random option.

Agreed. I wanted to create Badger from Breaking Bad and build his legacy in GTA. As I was creating him I knew that this was going to be a difficult task. The more I fiddled with it, the more I began to realize that he looked pretty close to Skinny Pete so I went with him instead and thought he came out okay(pic is in the photo thread). I mean it looked like SP, just less methy looking.

Anyway, I wouldn't mind the "pick your parents/grandparents" approach if you could just use that as your base and then modify them from there, but the way they have it now just sucks. I also hate that your character is given clothes by the attributes that you choose. I get what they're trying to do, but I would much rather just choose my characters clothing myself.

Yeah same thing happened to me. I tried to go to a mission and the blip would disappear every time. Just turned it off after that. Thought it would be fixed when I go back on but it's discouraging to hear that you did that and it didn't help.

Yeah I went to the T for Trevor's next mission and when I got close it wasn't there. I didn't try anything else after that. I was so frustrated I just killed as many cops as I could.

So I'm guessing it would be a good idea to make a few duplicate saves ?.

Yeah but I think I remember seeing someone saying something about loading a previous save file and it was fine. I don't know if getting online is what corrupts it or if just downloading it period does. If I were you and anyone else, I'd play it safe if you don't want to lose your progress.

Just tried to get online again just now and no issues. Anyone have any success playing with OS Crew members??

Edit: it just informed me that I have to complete the tutorial but I can't figure out how to get back to the damn thing???

It automatically tries to put you in games with your friends, so I was put into a game with some of you a couple times before my game got ****ed up and I deleted my character. Haven't been able to do the race tutorial since.

My post-game save seems okay, though I was worried for a bit. When I first started up I went to one of Franklin's S&F missions (the one that opens up parachuting across the city), and the contact wasn't there to start the mission. I reloaded my save, did the same thing and it came back and let me start the mission. I can also switch between the characters without issue.

Still can't get into online, though.

Edit: Forgot to mention I turned off autosave a long time ago, so maybe that has something to do with not having any issues.

You choose your own clothing during he tutorials. You get to go to the store and buy stuff.

If actually get online to play, then I could figure that out for myself. Instead I get stuck either in an endless loop of loading or a "Go to Race Trigger" that's doesn't exist.

Had to recreate my char this morning but I was finally able to add my OS crew shirt, and John Marston as my father

See on your phone if you have any messages or contacts for Lamar. Do you have much money or is the game telling you to do anything else? Just wondering if it is considering you as already completing it.

The cops seem relentless online. If you steal a vehicle that vehicle is tagged and you will be targeted as a warning. That only goes away when you get out and stop using the vehicle or if you paint it.

5 year development cycle and cant get online right 2 weeks after release no excuse. This is why we are given games not complete year after year and bothered by release day patches

Online hasn't been functional for two weeks like the offline game has. I can't believe people actually thought it would work flawlessly out of the gates. Just about any big time online game has had issues when they game launched online. To think people thought this would be different is beyond me. I didn't even bother trying yesterday, worked this morning for me though

Took about 15 minutes for the race to load but I was able to get through it and the tutorial.

I think people expected hiccups, but most people would like to play rather than getting caught in some stupid bottleneck tutorial race to start the Online. Seems like a stupid way to funnel traffic.

Well,after playing online a bit and doing some early stuff,I had decided to go back and play some more of the story.

After playing that a bit,I then decided to play online some more,but WAIT...my damn character has been deleted

After I went through that God awful character creator,to finally get something I was happy with...now gone,talk about being pissed off.

I understand hiccups,but when it's showing everything saved on the cloud,then there's nothing?...well yea,this is just a bit ridiculous.

Heaven forbid I spend my money and don't expect something to work, especially when they take an extra 2 weeks to work on it. Although I guess that extra 2 weeks gave you plenty of time to craft your next great OS story time.
