Re: Grand Theft Auto V Online
Haha I'm loving online. Played a mission with two guys from a different crew and they decided to kill me after we beat the mission and took some of my $.
I then went on a tear... they both went to ammunation and I parked my car outside, took cover behind it, and lit them both up when they came back out (so much for that armor they just bought). I then planted C4 on their vehicles outside the store and when they respawned they came running after me and hid behind one of their cars.... BOOM both dead again. After that I ran to a alley way and put another C4 around the corner and waited again. One of them was so upset he came full steam around the corner... BOOM again haha and I managed to take the other one down after that.
Then I retreated to my apartment and watched them on my tv security camera while they sat outside for like 10 minutes just waiting for me to come out. I messaged them "your on candid camera I know your out there". Let's just say the messages they sent me after that were rather rude.
After 10 minutes they both put like $9,000 bounties on me and literally everyone in the game was outside my apartment waiting for me to come out, it was hilarious!
I love that you gave it right back to these guys. It's funny, but unsurprising, how many of these types of people (the ones that killed you after the mission) very much fall into the "can dish it out, but can't take it" category.
This is also a very big reason why I do everything I possibly can to avoid games with randoms in them at all. Every time I launch GTA Online, I start in either an invite only session or a Closed Crew session, and start doing whatever it is I'm looking to do. Usually just start driving around a bit until an OS Crew member sends out an invite. Or, drive around until I get a mission on the phone, and then invite other OS Crew members. Have met some of you on here that way, and the games / missions have been very enjoyable.
I'm glad that option is at least there for those of us who want to be able to play the game without having to worry about garbage like what those two in the original story pulled.
Here's to many more hours of rolling with fellow OS'ers. This game really has been one of the more addicting that I've played in a very, very long time.

Start in single player, then pause > Online > Play GTA Online > Create whatever kind of session you want from there.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

Re: Grand Theft Auto V Online
Do you usually just hit "X - Online" (PS3) at the main loading screen upon launching the game? Which takes you straight to online? That's probably why.
I usually let the story load, and then use the start menu to take the steps Dayman mentioned above.
On that note - I wish there was a way to choose which type of session you wanted to go to straight from the Online start menu. If I end a playlist, and wind up in a public session (which happens sometimes when I accept a fellow crew member's invite to a mission), I exit out of GTA Online altogether, back to story, then use the story's start menu to go to Online / Play GTA Online / Closed Crew Session or whatever.
Unless I'm missing something in the Online's start menu, all I see available along those lines is "Find New Session", which doesn't let you specify which type.Comment

Re: Grand Theft Auto V Online
Typically I'll let the story mode load (I've tried pressing A a couple times, but I guess I wasn't fast enough) and then switch to my character via the character wheel. About half the time I try joining other crew members' sessions.

I wouldn't want a limo either tbh. You'll just get murdered crushing in one. When I get a 10 car garage I'm gonna get a hummer, an infernus, my übernacht coupe and a couple bikes in there.
Just gotta get that paper to get to that pour lolComment

Re: Grand Theft Auto V Online
I, too, wish there was a way to specify the session type once you are already online. I find it strange there isn't a way to do that. Most of the time I get booted to public sessions when I try to join crew members cause it can't find a suitable game or whatever.
I still would like to get a 16-man crew session going! My big empty apartment is so lonely. *tearComment

Re: Grand Theft Auto V Online
Call me weird, but I don't mind the occasional dust ups with randoms. I feel like that's part of the experience. I mean.. it is GTA.
Otherwise, I'm just doing an endless loop of the same "go pick this up" "go shoot this guy" missions.NFL - Vikings
