Oh, well. The game is still a favorite of mine. The thought of adding ground forces to the arial combat would put this game on another level.

I don't mind not having crossover play. In fact I hope it is optional because I have a feeling that the guys on PCs with great setups (flight sticks, pedals, etc.) will have a huge advantage over PS4 users.

That said, the patching situation is beyond ridiculous and needs to be hammered out. As does a US release date. I realize that the 2 are probably linked, but this whole delay is absurd.

Some are not aware that you're also able to play Single Missions, Dynamic Missions and Custom Missions were you create sim battles that you can join into with other pilots. Dynamic Missions such as (Pearl Harbor) are a series of sub-missions that you partake in during that classic battles. Single Missions are similar, giving you the chance to partake in a historic battle to complete.

In one Single Mission I picked, "The Death of Yamato", it gives you the opportunity to lead US Avengers against the Yamato battleship and escorts on April 7, 1945. That's right, you take your team and torpedo the Japanese fleet. Now, if they can only get this update done, I can play with my tanks too!

Yes, you can in Custom Battles. Look at the images attached below. You select from available battles offered. Here, I highlighted the attack of Pearl Harbor.

Once you pick a mission/battle/scenario, you're taken to this next window (image 2). Here, you set the rules, difficulty, and if you wish, password access only.

I'm pretty sure I've got it installed on the PC, just got frustrated in the tutorials and gave up . I browse this thread a bit and the enthusiasm some of you have makes me want to give it another shot sometime soon time permitting. My friends play co-op almost exclusively (or don't play at all) which is why I asked. I'm also personally more of a PvE gamer.

With recent release of 1.7 Software update, it finally can happen. We are working hard to make NA release this month, I hope there will be more news next week.

Well, I've been following up on info regarding patch releases and NA release from their forums. Although not much is new, I do get the impressions lately that we'll be seeing something soon shortly. Apparently v1.39 was not the update that had the ground units we were all hoping for. The recently released v.1.41 (May 15) is. This was released yesterday for the PC community.

I still play it, (need my anger management solution for quick kills..lol) although not as much since the Show hit and I'm sure even more so when Watch Dogs releases. However, with ground units added to the mix and the new German Messerschmitt Me.262A-1a/U4 Pulkzerstorer and Messerschmitt Me.262C-2b Heimatschutzer II planes added, it's got me

So, what's new with 1.41 for PC players and soon PS4? Here's their update.

From their blog, it sounds like the EU servers will be upgraded on Thursday. I'm going to wait it out till then to upgrade. Then, within their options settings, pick the US server. Don't want to chance losing all my progress.

European, Australian and Russian PlayStation®4 players will be able join them in tank battles on June 5th. And, of course, all of the other exciting features found in the latest 1.41 version of the game – 350 different planes, squadron battles, 150 different multiplayer missions and singleplayer campaigns and scenarios will also be available on PlayStation®4 next week.

I think you can still get it free off the PS Store even without PS+. Well, that's what it was when originally released in EU during Nov launch.

How much will it cost?

Usually about an hour or two of your free time. Put yourself in a cockpit and experience a dogfight, or lead a ground assault. Competition is fierce, but the gameplay is very good.
