The official release of War Thunder in North and South America is planned for this Tuesday, June 3rd (Wednesday night in Europe).

If you are already playing the European version of the game using your American PSN account, please DO NOT download and login to American version of War Thunder untill update 1.41 is installed on the European server. Otherwise your progress may be lost.

Just continue playing on European server, and when the 1.41 goes live in Europe, you can install American version and retain all of your progress

Rasmussen, one of the few American pilots who managed to take off to protect Pearl Harbor from furious attacks of Japanese aircraft. This gift will become available later in this June.

Kinda surprised it didn't get put into the PS+ list on the PSN UI, Warframe is still there and other prominent spots so wonder if they're paying for that. Had to go to New Releases to find it.

Took me about ten tries last night and I eventually got in, I'm guessing servers are overloaded at moment with all the new PS4 players?

You're probably right about last night. I do know that the WT PS4 server for the UK was shut down for maintenance after midnight which explains delays this morning. I believe they're now live with 1.41

Some info I picked up from their forums and updated FAQs.

<b>Can PC and PS4 users play together?</b>

<i>Yes, the North American PS4 version of the game is cross-platform between PS4, PC and Mac OS. You are playing on the same server and even can form squads (up to 4 people) to play together regardless of user’s platform. However, cross-platform for European PS4 version will be enabled shortly after the release of update 1.41 in this region.</i>

Those who are playing now can verify if this is true. Next to the players name you may see an asterisk. (*) I do remember that it specifies a PS4 player. Players without one, would be PC and or Mac players.


<b>Can I play War Thunder on PS4 using flightstick, mouse or keyboard?</b>

<i>You can use any USB-compatible keyboard or mouse - just plug-in them into system. The support for flightsticks will be added in future updates.</i>

<b>Does the game support the PlayStation Camera?</b>

<i>Yes, it is used for head tracking so the player can look around in-game without using the controller. It can be enabled in game options and works only in cockpit view for planes.</i>

I heard that Sim battles are now enabled. This means you have the cockpit view. Must operate the plane by reading the instrument panels. Gives you head tracking via the PS camera to look around. Need to replenish your armament at your home base.

I think PS+ members get a free starter pack for Warframe. PS+ members don't get anything for War Thunder.

Now I finally have a reason to go buy a PS camera!
