    Re: BIG SCREEN TV???????

The only burn in I have is from watching regular tv in 4:3 mode - I don't do that anymore.. now I just use Just or Zoom mode.

I have the Toshiba 51" cinema series HD....with any projection tv burn in can be a problem...as long as you dont pause the game with the tv on and leave for 8 hours or something....with a 2 year old the most I can play at any time is about an hour...so it isnt an issue with me....love the TV!

Yes earlier models were an issue but not the newer ones. Have had my 57" projection for a good while now with zero burn problems.

They say with the newer TVs in the last couple years that the only real worries you have with burn in are running it in 4:3 (since you have constant black bars) and if you constantly watch DVD movies that have the black bars.... as for gaming systems, they say don't leave the TV on if the game system is paused for more than 5-10mins... simple solution: keep the system on and the TV off.

I've been shopping for a new TV, so I've been checking into this stuff alot.
