Think you know a lot about your Playstation 2?

Well then i have quite a challenge for you.

I really need somebody's help. My Playstation won't work and i know why but i don't know how to fix it.

Here's what ha-ha-happened: I got those Disc read errors again so i went to clean the lens (again), and it went fine but then when i was re-screwing in a screw it fell in a hole and i had to shake my PS2 around to get it out.

I finally got the screw out but right as it fell out there is this shiny silver wire that was attached to the top lid by the reset and open buttons of my playstation and my lens cover and it came unattached. I don't know what this wire does but my PS2 won't work without it attached.

My problem is that i don't know where the wire was connected to exactly, and i don't know how to put it back in. The wire is still connected by the open and reset buttons but not wherever else it is supposed to be connected at. I have an older Playstation i think because i checked out my friend's playstation's inside and his playstation didn't even have this wire. His lid was also not attached to the open and reset buttons like mine is.

If anyone has any clue what the hell i am talking about, or knows someone who does, i would really appreciate some help. Thanks

          Put it in the dishwasher?

No, no, no. That can't be right. I'd ask someone who knows A LOT about those things. Maybe someone from Gamestop or EB Games. The people at my EB Games are very friendly and always helpful. Some even fix up systems...... for a price.
