    ps2 Problems!

My ps2 hasn't acted like this until recently and I have no idea what is causing this problem.

Lately everytime I put in a game, the ps2 sounds like it's trying to read the game and all I hear is a "skipping" sound. Funny thing is, the games I play have no scratches on them at all.

I kind of think this has something to do with it - I bought a used copy of High Heat 2004 that had some scratches on it and I think my ps2 had trouble reading the game. It did get it to load, however, but it fails to get the other games to load that are in great shape.

Is there anything I can use to clean it out with? Any advice/tips would be appreciated.

I'm sure some other guys on this board will have alot better tips for you on how you can find out what the problem is.

The one thing I will do from time to time is take the vacum cleaner out, put the hose part of up to all of the vents and try and get out and dust or what not that might be in there.

If it's a problem with a drive starting to go bad then this is something more technical that I'm sure someone else will explain since it requires you taking apart your PS2.
