PS2 Progressive Scan Options for Games

I have a Panasonic HDTV and just got MVP 2004 for PS2...the back of the box says Progressive Scan. Is there any way I know that my PS2 is playing it in Progressive Scan, or does this just automatically happen? I don't see anything in the Options Menu to change to Progressive Scan.

Is there any menu settings on the PS2 I should be changing for games?

    Thanks, in advance.

We prob have the same TV. If you can do split screen, then your Ps2 is NOT outputing in p mode.

          Another (possibly) stupid question...

You DO have the component cables, right? The ones with 5 outputs instead of 3? If you're using the standard RCA plugs with an HDTV, it won't matter...
