Must admit that im surprised and disappointed about the delay. Rumors have it that there is also an Uncharted Collection in development. Hopefully, this is true and gets announced and shown at E3 with a November release. All three Uncharted games and the Vita game would be awesome. And just for an extra bonus, I would throw in a fully playable early chapter from Uncharted 4 that unlocks once you complete the other four games. Now, this would be a collection worth $60.

Re: UNCHARTED 4: A Thief’s End
Can't wait too, but I have a feeling that driving part is only for this specific level and not an actual fully-fledged gameplay element. I still think TR now has UC beat in the gameplay department.
As long as the AI isn't as annoying in this one and everything doesn't feel too scripted, it should easily be the best Uncharted game (right now that belongs to UC2 for me).
I also pre-ordered the Nathan Drake Collection, but I'm thinking I might remove that because I'm already too backlogged with other games, and I want UC4 to feel extra special to me when I first play it on PS4.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: UNCHARTED 4: A Thief’s End
I like Tomb Raider but no way does it beat Uncharted in the gameplay department. Everything that's in Tomb Raider has already been done in Uncharted and done better.
Like Tomb Raider, Uncharted is a linear game so yeah, that driving part is most likely just an action sequence but look at how much is put into that sequence. Even more disappointed about the delay. UGH.Comment

Re: UNCHARTED 4: A Thief’s End
It looks great.. the flying debris was amazing.
It just seems like most of the "nerf gun shooting" is back. Maybe I was looking too hard for it in that video, but it was my biggest complaint in years past.
I don't see any reason I won't buy this at some point. I'm just not calling it a must buy for myself..Comment

Re: UNCHARTED 4: A Thief’s End
I understand the sequence is outstanding, but the idea of it being completely scripted is that we'll be playing out that sequence the exact same way as they did.I like Tomb Raider but no way does it beat Uncharted in the gameplay department. Tomb Raider game just had better gameplay mechanics. They were the same-ish, but I think what helped was a vulnerable character, bow & arrow, usable inventory and weapons upgrades, grappling (though we see this in that UC4 level), more "open world" environment (though not exactly sandbox, but you could kind of choose what to do), smarter AI, and oh yeah... raiding tombs.
I just think that game had more to offer in the end, and I hope ND learned from that or used more things from The Last of Us, like going about a linear environment in a dynamic way, or choosing stealth over gun play, etc. TLOU also had upgradable weapons and health packs. And what, still can't throw back grenades in Uncharted? I just think Uncharted has been largely the same since the first one, despite the fact it still has a great story and character interaction, then of course spectacular cinematic action sequences and awesome graphics. I will still give Tomb Raider the nod for a more complete gameplay experience, though. I felt more in control of the outcome there and didn't think I was just going through the motions of a good looking game.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: UNCHARTED 4: A Thief’s End
Tomb Raider had tombs to raid? I only remember one after the introduction.
While TR offered more gameplay mechanics I think UC is a much better gaming experience. I could play the train sequence in UC2 all day long and still be in awe, but by the end of TR I was over the survival-battering of Lara. The maps in TR didn't seem any more open than the ones in Uncharted either.
Some may disagree with me, but I don't need all the gameplay elements from TLOU to pop up in Uncharted. Its not a survival game so crafting and modding weapons isn't something that I felt a void for after coming into UC after playing TLOU.

Re: UNCHARTED 4: A Thief’s End
You absolutely can throw grenades back (triangle) in the Uncharted series. There's even been trophies in the past, for killing X amount of enemies with thrown back grenades.I understand the sequence is outstanding, but the idea of it being completely scripted is that we'll be playing out that sequence the exact same way as they did.

The rest of your post is your opinion, so I have no response, other than I generally disagree.

Re: UNCHARTED 4: A Thief’s End
Ah, thanks. Maybe I'm misremembering, or was only watching that video and never recognized the icon and thought in my head: "Well, that is underwhelming."
Now that you mention it, I clearly remember that trophy. Maybe I was thinking more along the lines of the AI not throwing back your grenades at all. Of course, that would probably annoy us more than it would be a wanted feature, but I'm just thinking of equality here.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment
