Re: New Owner of an X-Box!

Man, that's an open-ended question. Not sure what kinds of games you like, so here's a list based on genre. I put heavier emphasis on Xbox exclusives, since you've probably already played a lot of cross-platform titles on the PS2, such as EA Sports games.

Before I list any games, you MUST get Xbox Live if you have broadband. Having an Xbox without Live is like making a birthday cake without frosting. Gotta have it.

Shooters: Halo, Rainbow Six 3, Ghost Recon Island Thunder

    Football: ESPN NFL Football

    Hoops: NBA Inside Drive 2004

    Hockey: NHL Rivals 2004

    Golf: Links 2004

    Extreme: Amped 2

Racing: Project Gotham Racing 2, Moto GP 2, Colin McRae Rally 04, Rallisport Challenge

RPG: Morrowind, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic

Other: Crimson Skies, Splinter Cell, Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow

If forced to choose one from this list, Halo is the easy pick.

Quick tip: All XSN Sports games (Links, Inside Drive, Rivals, Fever, Top Spin) are $29.99 new at EB Games. Not a bad deal, especially for Links -- a GREAT game.

    Enjoy!

    Take care,
    PK

            PK,

Thanks for the list! I really appreciate the advice on which games are definite must-owns for the X-Box.

I rented Halo and I gotta say, it's very impressive. I've always been one to be strictly for sports-genre games only, but Halo has really been fun to play. Very challenging, but fun nonetheless.

A friend of mine at work suggested Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic. I told him that I've never been a big fan of RPG's, but he told me that this game will blow you away. I've been considering purchasing KOTOR - I'd like to rent it first though.

Everyone who posted in my thread, thank you all!

Microsoft really blown me away with the Box. I'm very pleased I traded in the ps2 for it. Not one ounce of regret
