I should be on Live this weekend if anyone else gets SC since my game came with a 1-year subscription card in it. The first 650,000 copies of the game come with a 2-month card, while 1 in every 13 will contain a 12-month card.

Cool. Let me know what you think of Live. Seriously!

I think you'll dig it, man. It's fun as hell, and Pandora Tomorrow will be a great game with which to break your Live cherry.

    Enjoy.

Cool, don't worry about it--I will. I was just trying to explain earlier that I was fine without Live for now, but since I can get a year free I will definitely take advantage of it. I'm saving a few bucks getting a router on the net so it may not come until Monday, but if it comes Saturday I'll be on then.

                  Re: Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow

It was either at Ubi Soft's site or somewhere on Gamespot. I can't remember. I thought it was just a random thing, but when I found out about the online bug there was another link that talked about the subscription giveaway.

                  Very brief impressions:

For those of you that played the first SC, you won't be in awe of PT in general, but you will be able to really appreciate how Ubi Soft has visually taken the game to a new level. You start off in an Indonesian village at night and the game is beeyooteeful. I was trudging through a stream and a bird must have been in the water because it flew out of the stream, water splashing, and squawked really loud. Crickets chirping, dogs barking, fire crackling is all heard in the background. There are a couple new manuevers that you get to try out. The first level is a tutorial, so the game tells you how to do everything. If you played the first one, you'll know 99% of the stuff. I'm pretty sure that you were able to crack open a door and peek inside in the first SC, but they have taken that out of this one. Your stealth indicators work a slightly different in PT. For example, the bar on the indicator will begin blinking if you have hidden a body in a hard to see area. If you just leave a body in the open, your indicator won't flash. I didn't do anything on the second level, I'm gonna watch a lil Kings-Lakers and then hit the sack because I have to go out of town in the morning. More impressions tomorrow night.

And here's a lil something someone posted on Gamefaqs from the xboxworld review that pertains to the multiplayer portion of PT:

                  </font><blockquote><font class="small">Quote:</font><hr />
Pupil Adaptation is one of the most interesting tool however. This passive, fairly subtle ability allows the Argus Corp. mercenaries to adjust to the darkness simply by remaining still or moving slowly in the dark. Much like in real life, their eyes will eventually dilate to allow them better vision in the dark.

                  <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

When you get a chance could you answer these questions?
                        1. Has the A.I. been improved or dumbed down based on your experiences?

                        2. Has the collision detection/clipping been improved? Are heads and other body parts still going through walls when you attempt to move and hide bodies? (If this game had Hitman 2's body stashing physics it would be even better.)

                        3. Are you able to open doors with a body over your shoulder this time around or is it the same as before?

                        Thanks in advance

                        1. AI is a little better but nothing revolutionary. When you get the goons out of their routine or position to investigate a noise or something, they rarely go back to the exact pattern like the last game.

                        2. Same Clipping.

                        3. Thats been fixed(thankfully). You can now open doors carrying a body.
