Complete destruction and debris staying? (PS3)

Hi guys, I have a question. I'm looking for a PS3 game where you can destroy pretty much everything (or as much as possible) while debris (and bodies) staying on the ground and not disappearing, where you can even move it if you push it.

Is there any game like this for the PS3? Can be FPS/TPS/car shooting etc.. I don't like it when you shoot and destroy stuff and it disappears. I realize that it takes some memory, but maybe there is a game that found a winning formula to keep it steady while still leaving the debris there?

I realize it's a lot to ask, but maybe someone knows a game like this, which I might have missed.

    Thanks!
    My Specs:

    ZX Spectrum
    CPU: Z80 @ 3.5 MHz
    GPU: Monochrome display
    RAM: 48 KB
    OS: Sinclair BASIC

Red Faction: Guerilla may be what you're looking for. Its been a long time but the environment is destructible and has physics in regards to blowing up buildings. I'm not sure if the materials disappear after time though

Thanks. I think I played the first one on PC, and back then the destruction was a thing of beauty. I might watch some walkthrough videos closely.

So far, Stranglehold has come as close as it gets, but I haven't found any other game that put that much emphasize on that.

        Mercenaries 2
        It's an older game.
        Some of the destruction remains.

AV7's recommendation of Red Faction: Guerilla, is the only other title I can think of like this. Battlefield does it to some degree with the Frostbite engine, but nothing to the level that you're looking for.

There wasn't much for for the PS3/360 that could handle this kind of effect. Partciles remaining all over after destruction. That's something that even the PC games have only toched a few times since it's very taxing on the systems.

Thanks for the reply. I did play some Mercenaries 2 and it was fun for a while. I guess I'll have to wait to buy a next-gen console, and see how it handles this.

            youvalss,

I had to rack my brains again... Sorry I didn't think of these the first time.

            Shooters:

Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon - 3rd person shooter. Imagine StarShip Troopers the movie, but in a game form. It's pretty cool!

Just Cause 2. It has some spots where you won't see objects leave the screen.

Renegade Ops. Twin Stick overhead shooter (uses the Just cause 2 engine). (digital)

            Racing:

            Twisted Metal
            Split Second

You've got some puzzle and strategy games like:

XCOM: Enemy Within (retail and digital)

            Digital Downloads
Worms - Armageddon 2, Revolution, and Mayhem (3rd person view)
            From Dust
            Angry Birds Series
            Magic Balls

I hope this helps a bit more!

              Counterstrike:GO

When you play on survival mode. The bodies stay on the ground in the place they were killed. It has bots as well, if you can't find any people online.

Thanks guys, I will check these games.

As for shooters, it just bugs me when bodies disappear, can't explain it. It just takes away any realism, and makes the game a 90's game for me. Which is one reason why I didn't play The Godfather 2. Was planning to get it but bodies disappearing a 2 seconds after getting killed - while leaving the weapon hanging there, is a turn-off. I just can't stand it that you kill someone and then see the weapon left at that spot.

Same thing with destruction/debris, but it was really hard to find games that got it right.

I can't completely remember, but I don't think the bodies in Splinter Cell disappear.

^^ Makes sense. I only played one of the older SC's around 2004 or so. But from what I remember you're supposed to hide bodies etc., which means that they can't disappear.
