I used to love the "where and when" threads simply because they would lead to pre-release impressions going up in another thread, and I ended up better informed about my purchase in the end.

LOL this made me chuckle, from everything I've seen it just seems like I'd be bored to tears with it. I was on board in the beginning but after seeing what I've seen, it just doesn't look like my type of game.

I have a feeling this game with get GTA level post-launch support. I hope so, anyway.

I would hope it would be more like Minecraft where the initial beta was a fairly barebones, but well-realized version of the core game, but has since added a dramatic number of fixes, features, and content.

That would be interesting. Like adding in a "survival mode" where everything is way harder or something like that, that would be cool

Without question with ships/weapons. Not sure if creatures only because of how their planets are created.

I'm far from "informed" on all the hoopla surrounding this, but from what little I've read it seems some is to blame on NMS mods or devs. This got blown out of proportion pretty big considering how almost every game gets leaked early. Its just part of the gaming landscape.

This game has one of the craziest followings ever. I mean, the first copy being being confirmed was making worldwide news. Kotaku, bunch of sites talked about it. Ever since we first saw a guy hop in a ship and take off into space without a loading screen it has just been this white hot title and I guess there is just always gonna be some craziness. When someone got the game so early, and then started talking about some gripes, a lot of the community just kind of got super defensive. Then the reddit mods censored all the leak footage and talk, then there was backlash for that, then there was backlash for the backlash. A lot of people over there honestly don't seem to understand how games break street date.

People bought PS4s just for this game, been counting the days for 2 years. Just one of those titles, I guess.
