Just started a replay last night. Forgot how much fun this game is. I'm skipping most of the settlement building, this time, tho. Spent waaaay too much time and resources on that my first play-through. ALL of my settlements looked like small towns by the time I was done!

I keep jumping back to this game after many beers on Friday nights. Still a blast and the liquid courage makes me a badass! Well until I take on two Deathclaws....

If you set up a bunch of bombs inside it helps. Still scary though!

Yeah, it's the anticipation of what's coming that gets me. That and the creepy music and sound effects!

I'm already dreading that trip to The Museum of Witchcraft...

Last time I played through, I had a mod that re-balances most weapons to be effective in the late game. I also re-balanced the game to make damage a little more realistic, with much shorter time to kill for both NPCs and myself, so being careful is important. On top of that I have a level cap so I can only get so much HP. Rest of story contains spoilers in case someone hasn't played the quest yet.

I snuck my way in, knowing from last time when the deathclaw actually spawned in. My mind starts freaking out though, because of the music and the memory of how freaked out I got the last time, so I pull out my rocket launcher. Hide crying in a corner as the Deathclaw saunters by.

As soon as I get the target lock sound on my rocket launcher I pull the trigger, blowing the Deathclaw up into a million pieces... along with myself.
Yeah, turns out it's dangerous to fire those things inside.

Had to do the whole thing over again. This time I brained it with my sniper rifle before it saw me and it went down like a sack potatoes. Those things are dangerous though, especially in close quarters with no power armor on,
with the mods I have on. One grab can kill you, especially if you built sneaky like I did.

I was wondering around the Commonwealth and heard a huge gunfight going on. I went to investigate and things were CRAZY. Super Mutants, Gunners, Raiders, and Feral Ghouls were all killing the crap out of each other. It was epic! Lol!

Fallout 5 announced at E3?

I still need to get back into 4. I beat the game once on Xbox One. Then I went back and spent a week back in November or December finding the perfect mods to use and getting them into the correct load order to minimize any crashes or issues.

Got as far as Concord and back to Sanctuary with Preston and company and started building a fortress. And then got busy at work and distracted by other games and never got back.

Really need to get back into it as I had some really sweet mods that added a ton of stuff to the game, between new weapons, backstory and lore, new enemies, harder enemies, etc.

I'm hoping for that, but most people on twitter are speculating that it's Fallout 3 remastered since it's going to be the 10 year anniversary. I haven't played that or New Vegas, so I guess I won't be mad either way. Yeah, you need to get back to 4 when you get a chance. I loved it! I'll definitely do another replay at some point. Already had a few. Lol! Awesome game!

Ahh, forgot about that. Yeah, a remastered Fallout 3 would make more sense.

Especially since it won't even be a full three years until November since the release of 4, that'd be a quick turn around for them to be unveiling 5 and potentially releasing it in the next 18 months.

Although, they did go from FO3 to New Vegas in only two years, and from NV to FO4 in only 5, so it is doable for them.

I'd agree FO3 Remastered is the most likely announcement to be made, followed by FO5 being unveiled at E3 with a October-November 2019 release date (that would make it four years since FO4) as next most likely announcement if it isn't FO3 remastered.

I know games are more complex now, but I miss the days when a new game could be expected this soon after the previous release in the series. Bethesda has become the master of remasters, so that's probably what it is.

Wasn't New Vegas kinda buggy? My memory is fuzzy...thought that it might have been buggy enough that porting it or whatever may not be feasible?

I played through some of that but never ended up beating it...I'd be more interested in that vs the BC compatable Fallout 3 right now. Fallout 5 would be even better, maybe they iterate quicker and not as revolutionary?

It was buggy, but it was also developed by a different team than Bethesda.

Yeah, Obsidian if I remember right...not sure if there's anything they'll do.

More Fallout is good to me, just unsure I'd re-buy 3 unless it was something amazing. I have it BC already so no real point.
