Upgraded a 10mm to do some pretty good damage and finally found a sniper rifle! It uses .38 so it's not powerful but it doesn't need to be since I've got almost 700 rounds for it. It'll do for now. A scope is so nice to have.

My sniper gunslinger really starting to take shape now.

I wish I had a .38 sniper rifle....I have a lot of that ammo

My rifle is .308 and I don't have a ton of that yet.

I've got a pretty good rifle, upgraded it with the glow sights and drum magazine. The damage isn't great (not bad either) but I have 40 shots before I need to reload and can hit from a good pace away.

I usually switch between it and the 10 mm pistol for closer distances. I'm finally able to upgrade more now that I got the scavenger perk.

Might put off building up anymore settlements for a little bit. Want to upgrade more through questing and exploring, the settlement part of the game is great but it eats up a lot of time.

Can anyone who did the digital download tell me how long the install took. Mine has been installing since 4:30 and it is now 6:00 and it is only at 56%. I have seen the Special movie I don;t know how many times. 24 Gigs had downloaded before I clicked start and then it started installing.

I got it on PS4 with a wired connection and I think it took about 3 hours. I preloaded on Sunday though and wasn't paying super close attention.

*edit - 3 hours for download and installation.

.308 sniper rifle is a menace. That ammo is tough to find though.

I have a PC that can run witcher 3 on high with solid FPS, should I be fine for FO4? Would like to go PC route instead of PS4

I had a .308 bolt action that I was using sparingly because like mgo I didn't have a lot of ammo for it. This .38 I found is only good for bloatflys and molerats really though. But it's previous owner modded it to the gills. Bayonet(on a sniper? Yea ok) short scope, drum mag (48 rounds lol!), long light barrel. The only thing standard was the stock.

And after spending some time at the crafting station, I could have built this thing already. The "sniper" designation is added when a scope is put on any rifle it seams.

There's so much confusing info I did some digging & testing trying to figure out this scrapping bug for myself.

What I've found is that there is for sure a bug but it's only a display/temporary one.

The extra materials are definitely put into the crafting table inventory (not your personal junk inventory) but it takes some time for the inventory to update.

So if you check inventory right after you auto scrap something when crafting an item the extra materials will NOT show up. However, if you immediately attempt to craft something else that would use the extra materials they do show in inventory and are available to use. If you wait a couple minutes and check table inventory again the extra materials will be there.

Confusing but it's working as intended for me on PS4 with a little delay.

Gents, has there been any information regarding a patch for this? There's just a bunch of weird quirky **** happening while I'm playing and its starting to irritate me a bit.

Two examples

1. While in third person view and swinging the camera around, the camera seems to get caught and stutters (the swivel transitioning isn't smooth).

2. The first time I greeted the dog and walked forward to the (rocket gas station?) there was a strange sucking sound, then mole rats just materialized out of thin air. One second they weren't there, next second I'm surrounded by them.

That's what they do. They ambush you from underground. Look around and you'll see the dirt mound gopher holes they just made.
