I've been searching high and low for a reasonable priced copy of Mutant League Football. I don't think I ever quite enjoyed a sports game than I did with Mutant League Football. If they ever decided to remaster this game like they have with Ducktails and others, it would be an instant purchase from me. Even if it wiped out my bank account.

Look on Amazon from used sellers, I picked up nhl 93 through 95 used a couple months back for a couple bucks each. Looked like most games could be found for around 5 bucks with a few extra for shipping.

Picked up a GBA SP (not backlit, but it'll do) for $25 at a used game store today. No scratches, hinge is stable, buttons are responsive and came with an official battery charger. For that price, I had to pull the trigger.

Bought DK Country and Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga for the system.

Also picked up NBA Jam TE, NBA Live 95, WWF WrestleMania The Arcade Game and WWF RAW for the Genesis.

Why did I get rid of the GBA SP (and then, a DS Lite)? These GBA games are AMAZING. With its library, I can see myself playing mostly GBA, 3DS and DS games this entire year.

Oh, and NBA Jam TE is still pure crack. Got my wife to play a few games with me last night and had a blast. Going to try and get a few co-workers together and get a tournament going.

A couple years ago I went ape **** at this retro gaming store here in Austin. I primarily bought up all the games that I played from HS thru my college years. NHL '93/94, Coach K Basketball, Bill Walsh Football, numerous Maddens and NBA Lives from '92-'98, Mutant League Hockey. I bought a couple of Genesis, NES, SNES systems just in case. I was also able to find a copy of Ken Griffey Baseball for the SNES, I have never been a big baseball gamer, but damn I played the hell out of this game back in the day.

Well 20 years later and I can finally say I have completed Super Metroid. Such an awesome game even today.

Working through A Link To The Past next and then it is Earthbound.

Going to revive this thread. Just getting back into Retro gaming. Picked up a Retron 3 and a Nintendo 64. Right now I am playing Ocarina of Time and when I get done, I am going to try to complete the original Zelda for the first time in between my wife and I playing Ninja Turtles the Arcade Game and Ninja Turtles: Manhattan Project.

                      You guys are awesome.

I also have to this day never completed the original "Legend of Zelda". I'm pretty sure that'll be on my tombstone some day.

I also never completed the original "Metroid", but (cover your ears) - it's primarily because I never thought the game was all that great.

Emulation is just about the greatest invention ever, but there's something indefinably awesome about playing the games on the original consoles as they were intended. It's like pornography - I can't define it, but I know it when I see it.

I've had my eyes on a GBA micro for quite some time now. I think that will be my next pick up.

My hands can barely handle the SP, I'd probably get carpel tunnel using the micro. I do like the screen on the micro, though.

My buddy just posted on his fb how he finally beat Mike Tyson in Punch Out for the first time in 23 years. I did it as a kid but it took years and I remember celebrating like I won the world series.

Can we merge this thread and the one I've got in the Console/Portable area into one?
