Sounds about right, Japanese PS4 launch (ish) is supposed to see a multiplayer beta, so release can't be very far off from that.

Gameplay

Deep Down's gameplay consists of that of a dungeon crawler, which involves the player exploring dungeons based on the memories collected on artifacts. Weapons such as spears and swords can be utilized.

Plot

The player perspective for Deep Down begins in New York City in the year 2094. By touching magical artifacts, players are teleported into the distant past to explore dungeons and avoid or battle monsters and seek treasure.

Dungeons are randomly (procedurally?) generated and populated.

The bad I've seen is that the combat isn't enough like the ______ Souls games.

It looks too awesome to be true....LOL I know people are saying that it will suck because it's free and it uses microtransactions but I'm not dismissing it until I see how it uses them...I heard the same about Forza 5 and nearly passed I that and I am really glad I didn't as I love that game and have played it a TON....

I've seen good F2P, and I've seen bad F2P, I guess we just have to wait and see where Deep Down lands in that scale. I do, however, know I will be playing it at least a little.

F2P is fine as long as you can earn everything you can buy in the game.

Or if the things you can buy are just cosmetic and don't give you an advantage in game, like in DotA 2.

F2P is fine as long as you can earn everything you can buy in the game.

The exception here is when the "earn" wall is too high, if the only sane option is to buy it might as well not be F2P.

Seems like new info is coming out. I especially like the idea of each dungeon having armor set during that time period. I think the example used was a dungeon in the 15th century would have padded armor, etc.
