Is it down porting from here on out?

Hopefully this is the best section to put this. Now with the next-gen systems out will games like Madden and Nba 2k be ported down from next-gen to past gen? It seems like it would be tough to make two separate games. By dropping some settings down ala PC games and keep the core game play this could work. Really hope companies go this route.

First of all, NBA 2K was not a port this year, so I doubt it would be next year.

To answer your question - which I think is extremely valid - it's too hard to tell. Madden may very well stick with the its base code, and continue to work on it from there. If you've played both versions, there's a very noticeable difference, but it's probably less profound than 2K's game.

It's very doubtful that developers "down port". You'll probably see it for a little while with games like Titanfall and Dragon Age, but especially with sports games, you'll start to see them get further and further away from their current-gen versions.

And this is just another reason consoles aren't great for gamers. They create that divide when a new generation comes out. While on PC things just keep getting better and there never is that divide.

Man do I wish NHL was on PC..

Who knows how long EA will try to keep last gen alive it all depends on how many people buy next gen and if M$ and $ony have any say in it.
