    USB:Xbox One

How in the world do I watch a movie or listen to songs from a USB?

That's insane, the 360 and PS3 did it. I used to put movies from my p.c on a usb and watch it on my 360, and now it's impossible? Wowsers

Yeah it cant be done on the PS4 for sure, system wont recognize any movie or mp3 file on it. Sony said months ago they were going to patch it in or something similar but ever since then Ive yet to hear a single update as to when that might happen. Im in the same boat as you so I just picked up a Western Digital TV Live streaming box and use that for everything, works like a champ, has the USB port and you can hardwire to avoid having to use Wifi.

I know it's not playing it from a usb drive, but as long as you have the Xbox Video app on the One, you can stream videos right from your computer if the system and your computer are on the same network. All you have to do is right click on your file and select "play to".

My goodness I completely forgot about streaming, ive just been using a usbbbecause halfway through the last generation the streaming through the network became very choppy. I'll given it a try. How do I make my Pc recognize the One?

I have network sharing turned on in Windows and it recognized the Xbox automatically once I downloaded the Video app.
