That is what I have been hearing. With lack of challenge maps and batmobile being used way to much even though this game is really good it may be the worst in the franchise. I didn't see the normal challenge mode to select in the main menu. I have yet to do any side stuff. With games like these I tend to the first time just go try to beat the story with out doing any side stuff and then on second or 3erd time playing the story try to do the side stuff.

Re: Batman: Arkham Knight
I have a really hard time putting it below Origins. As of right now I would have it tied with Asylum and a notch below Arkham City.
I still have a long way to go tho
I don't believe that the batmobile holds the game back, but, I can see how it feels forced and overdone quite often. Personally I like it, but I can understand not being pleased with being forced to use it"Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Re: Batman: Arkham Knight
It's definitely an odd choice for an open world game and makes me wonder why they didn't go a different route in implementing it into the gameplay"Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Yeah, I got to thank you guys for that one. Makes everything so much easier. Also, is their a way to take a picture on the Xbox One? Just saw a Royal Flush Gang poker room and wanted to share it.
How creepy is it to be gliding and jumping from roof to roof and all the sudden realize you hear opera music?Comment

Re: Batman: Arkham Knight
What do you mean by this? I'm assuming you mean forcing people to do things a certain way, but I would counter that by saying that the most famous open world game series, GTA, does exactly this. Get in this exact car, and park it in this exact location. 2 feet to the side, and we wait.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

Is it a must you have to use the Batmobile at times during the story? Yes. But it's really not as bad as people make it out to be. I just spent a good 2+ hours gliding over rooftops looking for new side missions to do and never once hopped into the Batmobile. Besides, Rocksteady did a great job designing it so that it's not a pain in the *** to control. Even crashing or flipping it isn't that much of a nuisance. I couldn't have imagined them implementing it any smoother than they did here.
The fact that this could even be considered the worst in the franchise goes to show you how great this entire series has been. All I know is I don't feel let down at all and think this more than holds its own with the rest of the Arkham games.
How so? You can spend hours doing anything but the main story missions, and you can unlock new side missions by exploring the city. I don't understand how that is linear.Last edited by BlueNGold; 06-25-2015, 11:59 PM.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. Re: Batman: Arkham Knight
How do you guys feel this game stacks up graphics/technical side wise, as far as the console versions?
I feel like this has to be one of the best looking/playing games on consoles. Taking into account the fluidity and smoothness of the game, on top of the graphical fidelity, it's gotta be up there for best looking game on console right?"Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Re: Batman: Arkham Knight
Yeah the streaming on the console versions is outstanding. No hiccups at all. I am pretty impressed. Driving through Gotham blowing stuff up/running through destructible objects and going straight into a super glide across the city with no slowdown is pretty awesome"Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Re: Batman: Arkham Knight
This game is AWESOME and the whole time I've used the batmobile I've had nothing but fun. Controls take awhile to get use to, but once you get that power gliding thing down it is a blast to drive. Personally I have fun with the tank battles too.
As for challenge maps.... There's a lot to do in AR that is more than gliding through rings. I think it has combat/predator challenges now that replace what we were use to on the 360. Personally, I found the Arkham City/Origins campaign challenges and challenge maps to be a chore after awhile.
I've done 24% of the story and 7% of the total game so far...having a blast too.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment
