The deeper I get into the game, the more I enjoy it.

Is it a must you have to use the Batmobile at times during the story? Yes. But it's really not as bad as people make it out to be. I just spent a good 2+ hours gliding over rooftops looking for new side missions to do and never once hopped into the Batmobile. Besides, Rocksteady did a great job designing it so that it's not a pain in the *** to control. Even crashing or flipping it isn't that much of a nuisance. I couldn't have imagined them implementing it any smoother than they did here.

The fact that this could even be considered the worst in the franchise goes to show you how great this entire series has been. All I know is I don't feel let down at all and think this more than holds its own with the rest of the Arkham games.

How so? You can spend hours doing anything but the main story missions, and you can unlock new side missions by exploring the city. I don't understand how that is linear.

While I guess I was lucking because I had like no glitches in Origins. So to me origins is like the same game as city but with a different story so I don't understand the hate it gets. While with this game in the story mode you have to use the batmobile so much that like you cant even glide like 50% of the time and for some unknown reason there are no challenge maps in the game and that is one of the best things with this franchise is the challenge maps. With no challenge maps the replay value is like half of what city and origins was and with having to use the batmobile the games replay value going though the story is even lower.

Playing on PS4. 6+ GB of downloads on day one release is unacceptable. Haven't played a second and already unhappy with the game.

I feel like this has to be one of the best looking/playing games on consoles. Taking into account the fluidity and smoothness of the game, on top of the graphical fidelity, it's gotta be up there for best looking game on console right?

Yes it is one of the best looking games this gen so far. I fell like so far this gen games only look slightly better then last gen for the most part. The only games to blow me away graphically this gen so far are driveclub, NBA 2k and this game. Like ever other game I have seen or played this gen looks almost the same as last gen games. Love that with the batmobile you can crash though stuff.

Without spoiling anything, this game has some of the best jump scares of all time. Its so atmospheric that it pulls you in, and catches you off guard really easily.

              For example:

                    Re: Batman: Arkham Knight

I was fiddling around with the game save menu and you can access the AR Challenges that way. I did not see an option to pick a character so the inclusion of all these characters is bitter sweet. I'm hoping we will be able to free roam with them after the story. I did do a challenge for Azrael so maybe there are a couple character specific ones? Still, I'm really missing the dedicated combat/predator challenge mode.

On the flipside I changed the default Robin skin to the new 52 alternate with a quickness. I also dabbled with the New 52 Skin for Bats, but decided to go back to the default aka Injustice suit for the first run. The Justice League 3000 suit looks bad. It'll go well with the 1966 Batmobile skin. I'm expecting there will be an Animated Series pack eventually.

Anyway, the chatter seems to be very helpful when looking for where to go for the side missions. I was gliding through and had a helicopter pilot come across the scanner with the location of a dead body to check out. Of course I was on the way somewhere so I neglected to investigate so I don't know for certain if the chatter actually helps.

I've played about 6 hours and have yet to find a Riddler trophy in my travels. That's not a good omen to me.

Riddler trophies don't seem to be around as much as the previous games.

I miss solving actual riddles as opposed to these dumb *** obstacle courses. The riddles felt like being rewarded for being a fan.

                        Re: Batman: Arkham Knight

Ive seen a few riddle thropies there like 243 riddles or riddler thorpies overall..

Down from previous versions but still there..

Also im only 30% into the story & i believe i already know who the Arkham Knight truely is..

I won't reveal the name but from advancing tru part of the story it kinda gives it away...

Remember the 1st encounter with the Arkham Knight where batman saves the firefighter??

Well remember when the Arkham Knight army had him trapped & he tells Batman i know how you think & i know your moves.. & then proceeds to tell his army not to shoot him in the middle part of his batsuit. & to shoot in a certain part??

Well let me put it like this no super villien or criminal is going to know batman's batsuit weakness & how he thinks & all.

Only those who have been batman partner like Robin & Nightwing for example would know the weakness of the batsuit..

Now advance to the mission where you meet Harly Quinn 4 1st time since Arkham City just play tru that mission & you will see where im getting at

I honestly believe he is the man behind the mask based on all the stuff he has said so far.. Seems to conriencdental...

Dont spill the name just let me know if you thinking its who i believe it is..

Im not sure how close i am to the ending but would love to see if i end up being correct in my assumption..

That & i still dont have most of the upgrades done points seem to be hard to comeby this time..

Also there an easter egg in the clock tower after u long had the hacking device & after u know what happened to BG & he tells alfred the you know what.. & retrun to the clock tower hack the panel oppisite of where the statue would be the batman uses to access bat computer.

After opening it u will find a sweet hidden gem again wont spoil it here

But so far im loving every moment of this game..

Tired of Batman's over reliance on it, it took a human form to get revenge...

Origins is the worst. It's not a terrible game, but it's the worst in the series by a pretty decent margin IMO. When you say it's the same game as City, that's just not true at all. There is a really noticeable stiffness in the controls that is not in City, missed counter prompts and just general control issues. City was smooth as silk.

And I love Asylum to death, but man going back to play that game you really see how far the series has leaped in each Rocksteady entry.
